I am still looking for the answer to my original question of what size room for a one man operation. Somewhere in this banter I wrote what I am considering using. 12 1k sunsystem 14ft ceilings a dosatron in coco. Sliding tables ect. In approximately 400 sq ft flower room. I am doing this to help people . To give the social equity to people who would benefit. There has been alot of chatter on here but only two responses that have been helpful and or on the subject of the post.

Two 4 x 16 rolling tables holding 64 plants each. 8 x 600 watt plus LED total in the 20 x 20 space.
Two 4 x 8 tables in veg/clone room with 4 x 400 watt plus LED in a 10 x 15 space.
You need a drying/trim room and a bathroom.

One guy could manage a pretty large operation until its time to trim. So I would suggest you trim a few lbs of bud and you will see how much you can handle on your own.

if you are looking for a one size fits all solution it's going to be hard. every environment and microclimate is different.
It's really hard to answer your questions though, since there are so many factors such as environment, style of grow, etc. Your vagueness is not helping the situation as the folks here are going to troll you. Don't take it personally, we have nothing better to do lol. But seriously if you give us a clearer idea of what you have in mind, you will get honest answers. Might not be what you want to hear, but take it in stride. There are a lot of experienced and knowledgeable people here who will help if you open up just a little bit more.
From what I've read so far - are you looking to build a single setup and then rent/sell/giveaway access to the space for a startup? or are you looking to offer prefab grow rooms in say a 1/2 size shipping container or shed or something?
To give you some answers to your questions, I would look to use LED strips for best spread, most modular, and able to swap in / upgrade components. also LEDs allow for higher operating temps which in my area also reduces the amount of cooling I need during warmer months. My personal dream is a 10x20 room w 10 foot ceiling so I can do 2 level rack grow. living soil in SIPs linked together w pressure regulator to keep watering simple.

I have purchased 11.5 acres. In cash. I will purchase a 2k sq ft metal building and spray foam the exterior walls at least. Probably all interior as well. I am doing this for myself. As a job for my old age. . Thanknyou for your input. I have been considering living soil. And blumats. For simplicity

I have 3 or 4 plans really. They all are based around creating the space though. Weather it's me or a helper that takes over one day is still up in the air

sounds awesome! and definitely gives us a better idea of what you are doing.
I would start simple and plan on breaking up your space into a veg and flower area. or better yet 2 - 4 seperate flower areas so that you can have a harvest every month (or every 2 weeks if u did 4 rooms) to keep cash flow going, and minimize the amount you need to trim at same time. also minimizes risk in case something herms or you get PM or something in one space.
Personally I think a 10x20 flower is about all I would want to handle as a one man operation, and have others have noted, that will require help trimming and packing up, and cleaning.
once you have a basic layout I think environmental control such as AC/heating/humidifier/DH/exhaust and possibly C02 if you are going to run sealed rooms is going to be the biggest outlay of cost. then calculate 30-40w sf for your led lighting for your flower spaces and 15-20W sf for veg. calculate all your other power costs and then make sure you can supply all that power.
I would definitely consider paying a consultant w experience in building rooms to help you think this all through.
I will also say that while I share your dream, as others have noted the bottom is going to fall out of the market as soon as federal legalization happens. we are only a couple years away from corporate weed in California. I would focus on craft cannabis and high end if it was me. theres going to be a ton of commercial grade and trim on the market that you will need something special to differentiate yourself and set your own prices.

Not to throw shade but ilovereggae is right and the market will be flooded soon. Here in MI people go to California and buy the dispensary reject stuff, bring it back here and sell it for cheap. We're talking vape cartridges with too high butane content or bud with too high of a chemical residual.
The buyers don't care. You read it on this website, people dousing their plants with Sevn powder. If the buyer knows to ask, the sellers obfuscate.
