My understanding is that it's at least nominally for people who've purchases GGG beans before, and you have to email GLG sales to be approved to purchase? I can't say I've ever asked about it ($$$$$$) but I'm kinda guessing if you're interested in buying they'd find a way to make it happen, so maybe it's more about getting pre-approved to buy. What's a tier 4 drop?
Thats almost beyond belief. Still if one was trying to promote exclusivity I guess limiting it to ”the chosen few” or those “in the club“ might accomplish that.My understanding is that it's at least nominally for people who've purchases GGG beans before, and you have to email GLG sales to be approved to purchase? Even negative press is still free publicity. So, yep.Thats almost beyond belief. Still if one was trying to promote exclusivity I guess limiting it to ”the chosen few” or those “in the club“ might accomplish that.
And we are talking about so a byproduct is free marketing?
I've grown their White Buzz, and it was good. It was $106 10pk. I've smoked and enjoyed the Mango Puff which I think used to be the same price. Agreed that they have some deals, they also have some stuff they're trying to sell to someone else hahaLike Rufus said, we are talking about them because of it. I wonder how many of the expensive packs they sell, vs less expensive. I tend to think of GGG as just having insanely expensive seeds, like, so pricey I would never even consider them, but TBF they do have a few offerings that aren't anywhere near as expensive (there are a few 21 packs that work out to under 10 a seed). I could see people being drawn to it in part because of the exclusivity but settling for a less expensive pack that shares a parent with an out of reach pack.
The thing is, no matter what it costs, if it is sold it can be copied or repeated. I had noticed some insane prices, but thought those were another way of saying out of stock lol! I.e. when they have one pack left it's $1000.GGG has positioned themselves as a boutique breeder who takes extra care to ensure the "vibes" are right and the plants are grown organically. Whether that justifies $1k or more per pack at their top end is relative to how important all that is to the buyer. To me, it feels like their marketing is of similar quality as other snake oil.
Full disclosure: I have purchased low-tier GGG seeds at a discount from GLG, but I have not yet grown them. They are currently in cold storage.
After I saw MMS call the CDC coronavirus info tag on IG propaganda, I immediately withdrew my consideration for buying any of his beans. Sounds like him and the GGG fools go hand in hand.I been thinking that Mass Medical is getting like GGG now they got a colabo lol
Yeah I don't know about all that I'm not on social media. Was just going by the strain names & increase in price. I think I paid no more than $85 for Prayer Pupil & its $125 for the same 7 fem seeds. The Prayer Pupil is pretty good & I wanted to try the Star Pupil but the new prices put me off. I guess thats why it comes with included freebies but what if I don't want the freebies lol! After I saw MMS call the CDC coronavirus info tag on IG propaganda, I immediately withdrew my consideration for buying any of his beans. Edit: spelling and clarification
MMS was getting pretty "buddy buddy" with Green Bodhi before MMS blocked me on IG for also following some of his "haters". Green Bodhi (not plantmoreseeds Bodhi) has been spreading similar disinformation throughout the past year, so it's not surprising that MMS would follow him down that path. After I saw MMS call the CDC coronavirus info tag on IG propaganda, I immediately withdrew my consideration for buying any of his beans. It’s a lot like the wine business. Lots of hype, if it costs more it must be better and a lot buying decisions based on how a label looks.Sadly, a lot of people like to hear stories when someone sells them something. The real story is often a lot less exciting. I never expected cannabis to go down this path but that's my own short sightedness. People like to feel good about their purchases and more than most industries the younger newer consumers prefer stories about how they are getting some amazing, unique, one of a kind cut vs just understanding that say Skunk #1, was flipping awesome and all the stupid sxxx about wanting banana mango creme brulee cake stomper grease monkey widow glue...because the picture in the item looks so good.
And partly stores are to blame. Most...you cant see it, smell it, you sure as hell cant try it first. What a total joke of an industry, honestly.
