Day 1: March, 31st
All five sprouted.

Just gave them water at this point.

Assumes Roots Organics feeds the plants for 4-5 weeks just like FF.(Is this correct?)

Sorry you had such a hard time! I've got to ask, how's the friendship going?
Very rocky....
I also see I put faith in someone to take care of something that wasn't theirs. How does it go? Nobody takes care of something of yours like you take care of them.(?? Idk)

Week 2: April, 12th
Transplanted them into their final pot.
IMG_20210502_012521.jpg
I feel I transplanted a little too early.
I also used some hardware store rooting powder during transplant. Anyway let's see where this goes.

Edit: Since I didn't take this photo this day I believe I transplanted them on the 10th instead....

Lower leaves taking a beating!

Lower leaves taking a beating seems like either calcium deficiency or bad watering practices.

Added: Fed organic molasses and tap with vitamin C

Did you already start feeding these plants? and what have you added to your soil before planting?

As being a new grower sometimes I need to remind myself to just focus on the fundamentals like watering and just keeping my plants happy! Stick with it you can do it my friend.

Week 4: April, 23-25
Here we go
PXL_20210423_231935586.jpgPXL_20210423_231930413.jpg
Was starting to believe the humidifier wasn't being filled unless I called, so I added a bucket of water into the tent to keep the humidity high enough for my liking.

Fed Espoma Organic Garden Gypsum, Dr. earth 4-4-4 and watered with tap plus added vitamin c

Till this point they weren't giving anything nutrient wise other than what was in the soil already.

April 25th
Just an update photo.

I was shocked, and very happy.

Wanted a cover crop but I added the seeds three weeks into the grow.:???: That isn't how its done so I instead opted for something a little quicker and got some barley straw bales as mulch. doesn't seem like I added enough.

top dressed with organic worm castings 1/4 to 2/4 inch per pot.

I'm getting the feeling that I'm doing this backwards but the plants are somehow still growing so I can deal everything else later.

Currently running my lights at half strength(200w I believe) 20" above the tallest plant, should I now run them at full strength since they just went into flower? If so at what height?

TIA

Yes, run the lights at full strength, but raise them up a little at first so you dont shock the plants with the excess light at first. Then lower the lights a little closer to the canopy each day until you are at the optimum light level on the canopy.

I use the free Lux Light Meter app on my android phone, and measure between 30,000 and 40,000 at the surface of my canopy in flower. During veg I keep it between 25,000 and 35,000. Pay close attention for light stress on the plants as you make the transition.

If you use a similar app, its quite likely you will get different readings because the hardware on your phone from which the app gets the info it displays can vary between make/model of phone. I used another light that I was already used to its performance to baseline the app as a calibration of sorts. Thats how I figured out the values that I look for when using the app.

What height do you suggest I start the light at full power? It's currently sitting at 20". What exactly does the start of light stress look like?

The onset of light stress is leaves tacoing, twisting over, or bending down. They are trying to reduce the amount of light on the leaf surface.

You want the plants to look perky, like they are reaching for the light.

Also, if you have a dark period, some plants relax the leaves down during the dark period, so don't think somethings wrong if you look at them during dark period, and the leaves look like hanging lower.
