What kind of test shall I do this year?

My time allotment has changed dramatically from last year to this year. I need them no taller than me, no wide than me, and simply small to get inspection done fast each day.
I hear ya. I watched your last grow and it was plenty big. I couldn't imagine harvesting a giant tree, but I would love to have one in my yard. I'm not in the best spot being in CO at 9000 ft, and it's not legal unless you have a locked greenhouse. Not that that stops me from throwing out a small one though for the hell of it.

Fabric pot vs plastic pot. My money is on fabric pots, but they do need watering more.

I see that's already been suggested. I like the airpot, fabric, plastic test. That would be interesting, but ya more work for ya, lol.
meh. this becomes more of a question of was it the pot or was it the watering schedule that made the difference.

I have read that growing in soil you do not need to worry about ph’ing water. I personally ph my water between 6.5-7. I would like to see the difference of non ph’d VS ph’d.

What if they all have auto watering setups? That would be impartial

You'll also have to prove what the best watering schedule is for each pot type, then probably use the optimum schedule for each to compare one pot type to another. But even best watering schedule needs to change with temps, humidity, sunshine, etc. Imho it's quicker to arrive at a more conclusive result if you use same pots and only vary one input or technique.

Edit: I mean unless the difference between airpot and fabric is ginormous!

They have individual moisture sensors, so you set them each to maintain the same moisture range, when one gets dry enough the pump will turn on for a set amount of time, then continue to measure. You will be able to tell from logging the waterings, what pot used how much water.

I definitely approve of that idea.

So after much consideration I realize I cant do 3 clones at once as that would fuck me out of 2 of each strain grown.

So either I do air pot vs fabric or airpot vs regular.

Il do 2 clones only as I have 3 strains I'm growing and need 2 of each.

Outside of the joke posts this has the most interest from likes so far. Very possibly might be the winner. Il give it a week and then decide.
I been running 3 Durbin poison in each of those pots. Fabric is the best in my experience because it does the same thing the airport does but with way less watering. Airports dry out insanely fast. If you want to utilize every inch of your soil I'd go with solid because the roots don't stop around the perimeter of the pot like the fabric and airport do. With fabric and airports you're losing at least 1 1/2 inch of soil all around the walls of the pot. Roots don't even get near the walls.
