Seedling development in different pots issue.

What up dudes, today I wanted to share with you something strange that happened with my girls, at least for me.
About 3 weeks ago I have planted some germinated seeds into small cups with soil, I didn't have enough of one type so I completed the planting with other cups. Some cups were made of cardboard, you know those cups for parties and the other cups I just drilled some holes in some plastic recipient and there you go.

So, time passes and 3 weeks later the plants in the plastic recipient are all so much smaller than the ones in cardboard, if any of you know the reason of this happening please share I'm just curious.
Oh and by the way they're leaves are kinda yellow, cos I just leave them outdoor and it rained alot for like 4 days and I didn't cover them.( I think they will be fine just the yellow leaves issue)

I think it could be poor drainage allowing the soil to stay wet for too long. I personally have had similar issues when making pots and not making sure I had sufficiently sized holes and making sure water flowed freely out of the cups. The little one is a goner most likely, but the bigger ones will be fine and could use bigger pots that drain filled with decent soil

I never paid attention to the drainage, never thought about that being the reason for it not growing but you might be right. I will perform some tests on drainage tomorrow and will give you an update.

Dude I checked it out and about the holes drilled and their size ,the pots had no difference whatsoever. What I thought might have happen is I put to much sand in the plastic cup soil mix it's the only explanation, they are definitely draining slower, now everyday I pay attention and it takes too fucking long to absorb the water...

Why would you add sand? That cup doesn't have any space for roots.
