I don’t cut the leaves and they still root fast.Yep. cutting the leaves prevents over transpiration. You want them to concentrate on roots, not growing.
The ro is after the softener. Softened water is easier on ro membranes. I have a Softened water at home and the big grow then off to the ro. All of the filters last longer.dont water softeners swap out ions for sodium ions? could that cause a problem or interfear withthecloneing process
I don't get the logic. I see people only cut the door to poo s and others practically everything. Never understood the logic behind it.You need to cut more off the leaves. Way more than you already did.
You could be onto something. I had issues with pm, but I had solved those, I thought. At least, my moving the mothers from the small room, regular spraying, TLC, etc... resulted in new growth and nice healthy looking leaves.Usually when people don't have luck with aero-cloners the culprit is the mother. With healthy mothers, I don't care what your temps are, what your humidity is, as long as you aren't killing them with too much light they will root.
The reason I want to use the aerokloner is because I don't want to have any waste at the end. I am also growing aeroponically, so that means no jiffy pucks. I don't want to use Rockwood cubes because I want a zero waste growing system.Been kinda following. Why the fancy pants. Dirt, tray dome, light and tap water. 14 days max to full root @68-72F.
I'm trying to understand the logic. But clones are one step of aiding nature. Nothing more. LOL.
Safe Saturday to all.
I'm not sure what you mean by "and the big grow".The ro is after the softener. Softened water is easier on ro membranes. I have a Softened water at home and the big grow then off to the ro. All of the filters last longer.
I missed your reply because it as on page 1 of 2.just use the fluorescent or put it near the veg tent with the zipper open or something. Your main issue is too much light causing it to metabolize and try to grow instead of root.
also, after trying with or without additives, I found simple tap water works best. My tap water has chloramine in it and basic minerals and I found any additives are unnecessary. If using well water you may want to add a little bleach or hydrogen peroxide to sterilize the chamber to ensure healthy root growth.
an extra trick~ a day or two after cloning, do a reservoir swap. You need to do this because any little pieces of plant matter from initial cloning will be refreshed, and also cleaning out any pucks from clones that didnt take makes the next week hassle free.
an aero cloner can also have a recycle timer put on it so that you arent heating up the water as much with the pump, if heat is an issue. It is actually good to have it on/off so you achieve the proper oxygen
some strains can be difficult as well. Try old growth and new growth to determine which is a better part of the plant to cut
I have a 600 plant grow and my home grow/test lab/ cloning labI'm not
I'm not sure what you mean by "and the big grow".
So you mean you use non-RO water for those?I have a 600 plant grow and my home grow/test lab/ cloning lab
Ok you may want to re read what wrote stating I have a softened water then it goes to the ro. Soft water is easier on ro membranes. I was clarifying for others. I've an ro system that will fill my 200 gal tanks in 20 mins. My toilet flushes ro water(really it does) I always start with a blank slate. So you mean you use non-RO water for those?
My buddy has a 400 plant operation and he uses only RO water.
I did read it. I was just confused at the sequence of events as you wrote it.Ok you may want to re read what wrote stating I have a softened water then it goes to the ro. You need a booster pump and/or a bigger system. RO systems are only efficient at higher pressures, filters also last longer. Good luck!I did read it. I was just confused at the sequence of events as you wrote it.
200 gallons in 20 minutes.... Man! Mine takes 2 minutes to do 1 litre once the bladder tank is emptied. It would take over 25 hours for me to do that.
What make and model RO is this? What size bladder tank? I'm thinking of increasing the size so I have a lot more in reserve.
dont you find that the sodium ions interfear with the process of cloning or any process for that matterThe ro is after the softener. Softened water is easier on ro membranes. I have a Softened water at home and the big grow then off to the ro. All of the filters last longer.
