FAKE SEEDS !?

Hey guys, any advice or experience would help

I purchased some seeds from Platinumseedbank.com
I got a pack of jungle peaches by Alien - very expensive for 10 regular seeds. (Got 14) they also sent freebies that are germinating just fine.

Problem is the expesive pack by Alien genetics is not germinating. I tried to pop 6 out of 14 so far.

has anyone ever got a bad pack of seeds and 0% germination rate?

i have had almost 100% success rate with germinating seeds from seedsman.com both autos and photos

complaine about the germination rate to them, they need to know that sort of info. you should get another pack of seeds and some freebies

You wouldnt think that would be the case with Alien Genetics though. Where they still in the breeders pack? What is your germination method?

Thanks for the reply, Yeah i ordered with out the stealth so i would get original packaging.
Germination methods: 2 via rooter cubes in a dome, at 80f
Thinking it may have been too hot I did “put in water until sink” then paper towel and still nothing
then i did the cup and sink and then straight into my coco with a cup on-top and still nothing
Now im going to try the hydrogen peroxide diluted in water method with 2 more…
Ill be happy with a male at this point

Hmm Yeah i heard I could potentially put then in the fridge or freezer for a few days so they get “tricked” into thinking its winter? Idk im desperate for any of these to germinate.

Had 4 packs of Delicious Critical Jack autos that gave 1 germ out of 15.

I have friends how replicate stratification in the crisper drawer of their fridge for a few days. And they still fail on occasion.

Temp control and dark are my method now.

Is what it is. May have been me. Always a crash. But that was worth noting.

I have gone through so many seeds and it still breaks my heart every time I don't get one to come up. I am now trying Jinxproof Genetics because he always lets us know when the drop is and its fresh but I stopped collecting and am now just ordering and using what I got.

yes, but the worst thing for me, was the wrong seeds in the packet, so now im worried about what i actualy have and if there those seeds do germinate..
i still having trouble thast those seeds didnt even come up even after stratification.
i watched a video the other day from a member about old genetix, like the real pure sativas and indicas, and whils watching news about the older seeds, they mentioned tools of the trade, and one of these tools was a small seed cracker, its a little clamp thats uysed to crack theseed shell b 4 it was germinated.
maybe there still about and worth looking into for some seeds.

I grow a few 20 year old seeds every year. At least till I am out. Too soon. I have found that a slight abrasion with an Emery board along the seams at the pointed end does help to an extent. H2O2 and water germ at 72F is my target range.

And even sprouted does not mean it will grow. Other factors at that point. LOL.

There is always a chance a seed won't pop. It doesn't matter where you get it from.

Oh no way thats crazy. Is that supposed to let water in the seed to activate it to grow?

i think yes, its to gently crack the shell and allowthe moisture in to get to the inners seed, crazy idea as you would have to be so so carefull not to split the seed.
but there are strains that have verry hard shells and if fileing the edge down to allow moisture in like growing peaches and nectarines. to mame but two seeds that pop better if freezing them first doesnt work

My view is that we are reducing the force it takes a tap root to open a long over dried and therefore very thick and strong shell. Stratification is a trigger. Not an aid. But my thoughts.

I have yet to see money back if not double from any seed poser or pro. IMPOSSIBLE.
