Looking for a good grow light for 2-3 plants. Alot of choices out there. Don't want to break the bank. Appreciate any suggestions.
Why not spend $35 more for a US made HLG 260. It's $315 after code "RIU10".Viparspectra XS2000 is what I decided on with the same requirements.
Costs about $280 and covers 2x4’
have you ever heard of the 150 w cmh? it would make a killer light for a 2x2 i would think . they are expensive as heck thoughA 315w CMH light will fully cover a 3x3 area and can be purchased for around $300 (that includes the bulb, reflector, and ballast).
I can't say I've ever heard of a 150w CMH but that's an interesting concept.have you ever heard of the 150 w cmh? it would make a killer light for a 2x2 i would think . they are expensive as heck though
this is the bulb. the fixture is where they get you. unless i missed a cheaper option somewhere. but i think it was $400 plus for the whole thing.I can't say I've ever heard of a 150w CMH but that's an interesting concept.
At that wattage I'd imagine that system runs very cool considering how little heat a 315w puts out.
My very first grow light was a 150w HPS and boy, oh boy, did it put out some serious heat.

Cost twice as much to run though.600 watt HPS. Under $150. Won't break the bank and will blow away any LED for the same price.
Way more in total power used when combined with the other goodies you would need to keep a 2x4 cool enough specially if the op is in a warm climate.Cost twice as much to run though.
