Technically that's a bidet, sorry Bob I had to! Statement is very true though! Flush is for "yer" toilet lol!
Somehow.... it never gets old! Lol
So just feed until harvest and stop watering a couple of days before crop ?
You don't need to flush in coco and for that matter daily runoff is not required either. That has been proven by the many growers myself being one, that use blumats with coco and never have any runoff. The key is low EC feeding. The way some dump so much stuff on their plants they can water to runoff everytime and still have too much stuff in the substrate.Flushing is for coco or any soiless grow, you feed to runoff to remove the old nutes every day or two so your always flushing.Or if you've over fed and need to reset.
Feed right up till harvest, no need starving them.
oops didn't read the threadI'm a new grower about to get my first crop in around 6 weeks now I am hearing conflicting messages around flushing should I do a two week flush or should I feed them up until harvest please help will not flushing make my weed taste funny ?
Good for you for asking, its a great hobby. You learn over time not to follow any feed charts and just go by what the plant says. You have to forgive people for getting confused about flushing even official grow schedules from companies mention flushing check out official plant magic nutrient charts. So I'm very thankful to all you guys for the help
This is true. It's not only noobs or youtube cool dudes. I would still be flushing if I hadn't ran indicas in the same grow as long flowering sativas and decided to just keep feeding the finishing up indicas the same nutes as the sativas. You have to forgive people for getting confused about flushing even official grow schedules from companies mention flushing check out official plant magic nutrient charts. Beautiful netting got to learn that one yet lol did you make that or buy it?Very true.
my feeding schedule for DUTCH PRO nutrients does indeed have a flush section.
also at this age my plants should be receiving 1.8EC feeding according to the schedule and they are receiving 0.8EC daily.

The one thing to note about nutrient companies is that they are selling you flushing products. In the case of the one you mentioned it's called Plant Magic Flush. Buying this stuff benefits them so you can imagine they have some interest in getting you to flush. It earns them money. So you can listen to growers who have no skin in the game or listen to those who profit from you flushing. Your call, good luck. Smart to ask though, gotta give you credit for seeking knowledge on the subject and not just blindly following the advice. You have to forgive people for getting confused about flushing even official grow schedules from companies mention flushing check out official plant magic nutrient charts. You cut PVC tubes and slide them into elbows. I used self tapping screws to hold the net, but you could use zip or twist ties. It's super simple.Thought so not very good at building stuff but have been thinking of trying really hard because I have not really utilised all my grow space I have bought a net for next one but wish somebody sold them frames I think there's certainly a market for it I would definitely buy one lol
