Wow, a month! If u don’t mind me showing you my other one.
I just harvested. Same strain, same time of planting only I trained it “extreme”.
it showed like 20% amber so I pulled it. Here are some pics:
(It was more of an experiment)
Right now it’s drying...
The colors look amazing. What nutes are you using?

Thanks! ‘‘Twas my first grow (with the other gal), I used GH trio with cal mag. Added a few compost teas and organic potassium in flowering.

was just wondering if it’s normal for it to have been ready that early compared to my other one.
Is it because the way I trained it?

like I said, still new, so learning A BUNCH every day

Well i think you still had some time left on that plant too, but every plant, every pheno, even same strain unless its a very stable genetic or a clone...will finish at a different time. Or you have to expect them too....the plant decides when its done and there is really nothing to do about it...If one pheno finishes before the other no big deal unless your trying to dry in your grow room, just cut one and wait for the other

I read that once there was sign of amber, I commence the flush. I did that for 6 days then pulled it. At what point would you recommend I pull this one?
I don’t want a ton of amber (according to the net, more amber = couchlock)
When all or almost all of the pistils have turned orange/brown and start to receed towards the calyx. The pistils shouldn't stick out. The calyx should also have swelled.

So how do I know when to cut?

There is allot of debate about this...they say amber trichomes have more CBN which works against THC aswell as degrading the actual trichome. Some people say thats all false. Best advice ive ever gotten was never just look at the trichomes, they help but never only judge based upon that. You need nice mature pistols, swollen calyx, and patience. You will end up with a better plant....maybe more amber, but better quality

Ok, I’ll follow on that on this next one. So will my weed smoke different cuz I pulled it early? What are the consequences?
Your right about the couchlock. Amber feels more indica clear feels more sativa. But thats all a part of growing weed for yourself, its for yourself. But you should def try both ways and see what you like. I see people pull early every single day to boost their potency tests cuz as i said, amber degrades

So basically, the only consequence for pulling early would be yield, right? I’ve even read people pulling her right when she’s in a mix of 70% cloudy 30%clear...

Letting a sativa amber won't make it smoke or feel like an indica. I don't know where people get this info.

People say it because of that effects CBN has. The chemical CBN for some reason causes a drowsy feeling which is what the trichs produce when they amber. At least thats what the labs tell me when i test mine. I really cant tell the difference either way thats just the BroScience take it with a grain of salt. They say its "anecdotal evidence"

Here is a visual aid of a plant that is ready. Actually probably could have gone a few days to a week longer. But you'll get the idea.

Pistils aren't white. They have browned/oranged and have retracted towards visibly swollen calyx.

Oh wow, thanks for that. The only 3 reasons I pulled was because 50% of pistils turned brown, I started to see amber and I was looking for the opposite of couchlock effect (based on what I read is it has to be harvested on the early end).
I will follow your guide on this one.
Also, will the branch break from the weight? Should I tie it?
