Light timer - power outage

I'm looking for a 2 socket, digital, 120v battery back up light timer.

for years i've had issues with all the different light times i tried, if you barely touch 'em by accident it moves the time forward, when power goes out the light don't turn back on on time because the timer stopped, power outages has fried some, i need something bullet proof that i can trust. i have many appliances on timers and they all at some point did not turn on or off on time.

For people that have had 0 issues for years, what do you guys use? Thanks!

Mechanical timers do it for me. Power goes out the lights come back on when it does and then just turn the timer forward the amount of time the power was out to be back on track. I used a $15 1875W outdoor timer for close to 20 years before it needed replacement and was running up to 1200W of HPS lights on it. I'm now using one of the same wattage I got new at a bargain store for $3. At least 10 grows with it now and no problems.

We get outages pretty often here but mostly just enough to make me run downstairs and unplug the lights as HIDs need some cooling off before re-striking.

ive had many issues with digital timers, as i live in oklahoma i have allot of thunderstorms, no stranger to power outages. I switched over to a mechanical timer (honestly i got it when i bought a mars hydro light) and its worked better at keeping a time than any digital ive had. My digitals would reset or kick my lights on any time i had a power outage. Get yourself surge protecters for all your componants and maybe look into a UPS system if you have outages frequently

the problem is that i live far from my grow, and i only get to it every 48 hours

thats why i need something 100% reliable with a battery back up

Then a small UPS unit will do the trick to keep the timer/s on track and would be fine for LED lights but that cooling off period for HIDs could be a problem with a very short power outage. A big UPS could handle some lights for a while too tho. I have one for my desktop and it doesn't even blink when we have outages. Works just like laptops do and had line conditioning too. Dirty power here as well.

I have gone with Sonoff Basic Smart Switches and control them via a Google Assistant routine. They never fail.
And advertise to the world what you're up to. Google is not shy about sharing your info with anyone that asks. Paranoia has kept me out of the slammer for 50 years and is the most useful of my quirks! :)

Stop believing all the hype you read on the internet. A Sonoff basic is a dumb wifi switch. It has no idea what it is connected to, neither does the Google Home app. They are what ever I tell them they are. I have two lighting rigs over two tents. One lighting rig is called Heater and the other is called De-Humidifier, both placed in a fictitious room called "Ensuite Bathroom". I wasn't stupid enough to call them grow lights in a room called cannabis grow room.
