Good man. I just moved everything here in the shed. It's still sunny but the wind is picking up again and after the hammering they took last night I figure they could use some shelter. Plus rather not be scrambling right as the storm hits.
Got 2 new 50 gallon rainbarrels set up this morning, 250 gallons total capacity now. Gonna need every quart of that I'm sure and then some. Hope we get a good soaker, but more likely it'll be a torrent for an hour then move on. Better than nothing though...

Ground is so dry, thats where the corn is supposed to go. Turned it over, just dust right now ,maybe after the storm I can plant.
One of these is accidentally a Kodiak Poison, rest are a Critical+ auto cross, so now I got a game to play later in the season.
They look a bit grumpy in the garden soil/bx mix after transplant...oh well, 5 are males anyway just based on general looks.
I kept some of my early blueberry seeds for later, but I gave up pollen chucking after seeing some of the cuts the med growers are running.
Just spinning my wheels compared to the work I see coming out.

Well that was pretty much a bust here. I must've jinxed it by preparing in advance. Rain gauge not even showing 1/10th. Barely wet the surface. We'll be right back to where we were--bone dry--after the next sunny day. But maybe this wind will ease up.
If it doesn't rain soon my brook looks like it would dry up by July 4. That would be a first...

Just ordered a cordless pump...now I just pray the brook doesn't dry up halfway through veg. Can use the well and rainwater but rather not lean too heavily on the well during a prolonged drought.
Way too warm for frost here tonight, though chilling down and humidity dropping fast. Guessing we'll hit mid forties by dawn.
Wind kicked up hard again today. 5th straight day of strong gusty blows here.

47 degrees this morning. Sounds like maybe rain tonight and/or Sunday.
Didn't frost where you are, did it? I forget, you up in the foothills a little bit or a flatlander?

It's raining gently here now, rainbarrels are filling right up. Got a lot of catching up to do on ground moisture--hope you're right about the 2 inches, that would be a good start.

BTk doesn't seem to be the right choice, maybe BT-t for colorado beetles. It's going on anyway though.
Permethrin with bassiana, then neem for eggs might work better. Spinosad is listed also, but I avoid it outside.

Ya i dont play around go right for the Permethrin just gotta use some common sense while an where you use it my go to while plants are in veg. not seeing any moths yet here any day now.

Last year (my first) I found this blog post very helpful. By week 8 I was able to tell most all of mine. When you see a pistil emerging from the preflower that's the sure sign of a female. If you look at the Maine 2020 thread you'll some close-up photos I posted as I was learning how to tell.
For some reason this year mine are a little slower to show, especially the Cherry Wines for some reason. Just finishing week 8 now and I've only identified 2 females for certain. Hoping the others will show in the coming week.
