How long to continue LST/Supercropping? And what age to clean up bottom canopy?

Like the title says, when do most people stop training branches and supercropping branches that rise above the canopy. And what approx age do people usually clear up the bottom canopy. Not sure how much more these are going to stretch but they’re currently stretching I believe…

Day 32 from the surface.
First dose of 50/50 veg/bloom nutes
Two plants have their pre flowers and one is starting to throw bunches of pistils (a hair farther along).

Just don’t want to add stress without knowing it.

Will simple canopy movement and manipulation annoy them in pre-flower/beginning of flower? Not crazy yanking of the branches just slight movements etc. or do they do better with the ties removed?

No I don't think it bothers them, I'm in the 4th week of 12-12 and I done this yesterday.



Plants can't get annoyed or think or have expectations they're growth is purely biological based on photosynthesis.

I usually switch off when I read shit like the plant thinks it's summer/winter, or it's concentrating on root/shoot growth, plants growth is biological by mass they don't have the ability to favour one growth over another.

The moon influences root/shoot growth through its cycles. Think - it can move trillions of gallons of water across the earth (tides)

So it has nae bor manipulating plants which are primarily water and you as well lol

Interesting, yeah all being equal its water and physics, so it stands to reason.
But it's only through biology it's not the plants doing.

Did a decent defoliation entering flower, purple punch is already throwing clusters of hairs. Pulled All the branch ties off, watered them, and threw the net over their asses. Weaved all the branches as far out as possible and I should be able to keep pushing them wider as they grow (since two are basically still in preflower). Think it turned out pretty well for my first attempt. Top dressing is going to be a bitch This morning all the tops were facing up and it looks like the canopy is filling in nicely!

That's the way to do it, if I'd put the net on a week earlier and kept tucking/levelling like yourself I wouldn't have they excessively long tops that I had to tuck/fim and top.

It's OK now but I can't help being a bit annoyed at myself for being a fk up, I had intended to net it the week before

Haha looking good man!!! Yeah I constantly look back and say man, I def dicked that up! Ha. But all good. That’s a healthy looking plant. I can’t get my plants to “pray” at all. This is my second grow but the first was very dialed in. I just wanna see them reaching upward but so far no beans lol

From my current grow? I’m STILL having problems getting my watering correct. I’m starting to think the plants are drinking the water faster than I’m watering them. Also thinking I’ll never use 3gal pots again lol. My wussy plant (wedding cake) who is a who pain in the ass was doing OK today and the leaves were pretty straight. Pot was light again. Gave it a small amount of water and it started dropping again lol. I can NOT figure this stupid medium out. Never again. Straight coco and perlite for the next grow. I fucking hate peat…

Wait sorry help me understand what you mean by “you aren’t picturing a flowing plant in your mind”. I don’t get what you mean.
If you see the leaves on the straw pie they’re much straighter and closer to pointing upward. The other two have been a pain in the ass haha

I attached a pic of what I’m looking for. Just pin straight leaves angled upward. Whenever I see someone’s grow and the plants look insanely healthy and vigorous the leaves are VERY straight and usually “praying” upward.

Should I check my light intensity as well?

I bought the cheapest one, seems to work just fine.. I still lift the pots then use the meter.. You get a feel for it!
Yeah the ones with the ph and light meter don't work so well.. My soil is close to yours and it stays a little wetter than I like but my plants are still small.. I think it will work out in the end..
