just wondering how these soil works for veg stage? Or if anyone has a close to same price better alternative at wal mart. Please do not post anything about making my own soil. Not an option. Thank you. Also can someone possibly tell me how this soil looks it has .01% nitro slow release from turkey compost was wondering if otherwise looks good .. or no Screenshot_20200710-051733_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20200710-052249_Chrome.jpg

I am testing one small batch with kind right now... so far its producing the same..hbu... I was a bit sad they are playing the covid crisis for packaging and my first investment arrived in no labels on bags ,,simply stated with a computer sticker... I paid up for this and hope the product will speak for itself in the end,,, that is what truly matters. lmk

I use promix myself and I find it runs acidic. I ordered dolomitic lime to stabilize the soil but otherwise I'm liking the soil pretty well.

I wouldn't voluntarily use anything with moisture control or added fertilizer because I like to micromanage my soil grow.

Because it stayed wet.Dont use that promix. It's especially hard for seedlings cuz the shit never dries out. I mistakenly bought that or some similiar promix product when they were out of bx/hp. I use promix bx which has a little moisture control to it, but I add extra perlite which it needs.

Ive used that soil. Didn’t have a problem with it. My plant hermied on me, but that was no fault of the soil, my own fault for growing a bagseed. I use promix HP now, but I had no issues with that soil.

i ended up getting coast of maine bar harbor blend and perlite and worm castings and bloodmeal.. came out amazing.. plants were huge , healthy, and decent stuff..
this yr.. im coast of maineing again lol but trying the platinum growers mix.. seems to be ready to roll out bag.. but needs added perlite .. i like it because its got really strong materials.. but doesnt really burn plants..maybe a lush green at best.

As Kalebaiden said, that pro-mix from walmart is acidic, every brick I have tested comes in at pH 5.6 to pH 5.8, so it needs dolomite lime to be mixed in. Add (1) cup dolomite lime per (1) cf of that pro-mix brick from walmart. That will get that mix to have a baseline pH of pH 6.4 to pH 6.6, where cannabis likes it!

depends on the liming agent. also depends on the age of the promix they have stamps on the side of the big bales not sure if the smaller bales have that. i find the older the bale the lower the ph. however generally speaking if your using dolomite lime and its a nice fine powder id say go with 1 table spoon per 5 gallon pot (i use 5 gallon pots or 10 gallon). it would be wise to get a digital pen to measure the ph of the medium. the prefered range should be 6.2-6.3 dont forget to water your nutrients in at that same ph. that should be a good starting point. however a day after your first water check the ph see how it is. add more lime the next watering if need be until your in the right range.

i have all that just got my prime day delivery so adding stuff like bat guano or earthworm castings is a waste of time in promix? i just now learned its not soil i have ph up and down too

i wouldnt bother, just use hydroponic nutrients its technically a soilless medium. any decent 3 part liquid would be good. general hydro, advanced, whatever theres tons out there. i use advanced micro grow bloom but there a bit gimmicky if your on amazon get a nice size container of dolomite lime as well.

i let seedlings go for 2 weeks only giving calmag at first and then started feeding with organic micro teas every 3 days. ive had great results.
