that looks like implosion of some sort. Surfside is an island on Miami Beach and heavily Jewish. i really hope it was structure and not something else.

the proximity to Trump Tower? if it was a snake it would bite you.

Have they figured out what happened yet? look like it started in the middle of the structure then it took out the rest.....saw it on the news this morning

i've always been worried about that with my home but isn't that usually northern florida?..they just said it was 'like a bomb exploded'.

it looked like a true implosion like when they're trying to clear a building from a city- it looks bomb like and reminds me of Oklahoma City Federal Building bomb.

while there could be a sinkhole that shifted that corner..how come the pool area was unaffected? that was a very narrow, targeted sinkhole and they are not usually like that + you get warnings.

a while ago some guys bedroom (north florida) was making noise and he noticed a shift at the corner of the house and then he got out before it sunk.

can't wait to find out.......the slow mo of the vid looks like it shows a dust cloud at the bottom before the collapse....then again it could be anything....lets see what the investigators find out....

i woke up last night just as it happened and my first thought was 'why are they imploding a building at this time of night'? living therefor 35 years i've had an occasion or two because implosion is the only way to take down building for new construction in Miami and it's a fvcking nightmare.

my first thought after waking and seeing? without knowing anything else, just seeing the building go down?

all piled up like a pancake?

when i saw it on the new this morning first thought ok they're imploding gone wrong till i realize there we people in it.....i was like oh shit.....wtheck....this was breaking news here this morning at 8am. Now i'm ckin vids, and getting updates on CNN......bout possible cause..

well they've had sunny day flooding since i moved there in 1985 but that's the streets and this is on an island; right on the beach..just the corner? and each floor piled up like pancakes; so weird.

i'm just so happy Trump Tower a block away is okay.
