Advice for Overall Plant Growth

Whats up everybody, im new here. I bought this clone 05/13/2021 and today makes 44 days in. I started with the 18 hrs of light and watered it with a spray bottle the first 2-3 weeks and on the 4th week I noticed it was sagging so did some research and found out it was in the vegetative stage and needed more water. More water brought it back to life in the following days/weeks. Should my plant be bigger or look different at 44 days? Is there something im doing wrong?

What kind of lights? What are temps and humidity? What soil? What nutrients. When you feed/water fully saturate the soil. Then, wait to water again until the pot is significantly lighter, not totally bone dry. Watering too frequently can stunt root growth and introduce higher probability of root rot and gnats.

Looks like you trimmed off some fan leaves. That can slow things down.

Looks healthy. Color looks good.

What lights are you using? When you got it, was it just a plug or was it rooted into a 3" or something?

It looks healthy as can be really, but if it's growing slowly maybe the light is not strong enough or a shitty bad spectrum amazon light?

2 ft. 32-Watt White LED 3 Adjustable Spectrum. Temperature in the house stays around 77-81 degrees. I have no clue about the humidity inside. I used Miracle Grow Performance Organic soil. After the spray bottle stage, I started giving it a whole regular 16.9 fl oz bottle of water every morning until i notice the soil is still moist. Regarding the fan leaf trim, I read that i should trim the tops off to encourage more growth.

That's insufficient light to flower. Trimming the top means snipping off the new growth shoot where the newest little baby leaves are growing out, not the fan leaves. If you do that, the lower side shoots will start growing out more and the plant will "bush" out, instead of growing faster vertically from the main top growing shoot. One way is not necessarily better than the other. It depends on what growth structure you want to achieve. There are plenty of threads on here about how to train your plants. Good luck! Peace:peace:

How much do I need to be sufficient? Will sunlight be better, considering the outside temp can reach up to 114 degrees? Whats the pros and cons to starting indoor and moving outdoor?

Dualing replies,
I've always experienced trouble with less tham 1000w hps or led substitute is in the 600w range. That's to meet a best-conditions standard. If I was going build a smallest-scale grow I would start with one 1000w or its equivalent.

It's just past the solstice, depending on where you are at there is the ideal maximum of sunlight hours to make transition smooth. Where I am, they would require a shade cloth at that stage and in a pot. But it can be really tricky to go back and forth to a room if you plan to flower indoors. If you do take them outside, they will start to flow some flower hormones in the first week of August. Could just make a spot and plop it in the yard eh?

Honestly that isnt even bad for 32 Watts of LED. You got to think, most of the people using LEDs in facilities that you see the nice instagram pictures are running 630W LEDS.

I have pcal calendar printouts on clipboards near my grow areas, and I write stuff down, like when I water, when they're put in bloom, etc. Space is limited to a little 1" square per day, it's not a journal.
