How to Store Seeds for Next Season?

Hey folks,
Just curious, I have some (fairly expensive, to normal expensive )
seeds I'd like to save for next season. I'm thinking glass jar... moisture control packet? A few grains of rice? Will that dry them out?
Thoughts and experiences? Advice, please?

I store mine in sealed bags, then moisture control packet, then another sealed bag, then in a light proof bag, then the whole thing in the fridge. Just popped some 4 year old seeds this spring, 100% germination.

I put them in my Tomato seed packet, fold packet and place in a small jar containing a silica gel packet then put in the
refrigerator vegetable compartment. Never gone past 18 months.

Does the silica gel packet keep it proper? Doesn't dry it out? 18 months the cap?
