Entire plant went limp, leaves fine?

Ok so week six of flower, I notice the branches on my triple cheese are a little lower than before. Then the next day a little lower.

It went from fine to totally collapsed in about four days. But the leaves look normal.

Also I found a few nanners.

Anybody know what this is? I’m assuming something killing the roots. It’s in ffof, getting fed gh trio and watered every fourth day.

It drains just like the other plants so I don’t think that’s it.

Looks like a split in the mainstem where you topped it..

That was the first thing I checked but it’s intact still. There’s some super crop knuckles too.

It’s just really weird how quickly it happened and how the leaves don’t seem to show any serious problems.

That's why I thought the stem split.. The leaves seem fine which would make sense.. But now Idk

Are you sure it's not just the angle the leaves are at now from the training? Give it a couple days so they have time to re-orientate themselves to the light source.

I had a main stem split down the middle at the juncture of four main branches after setting up the ScroG and it didn't seem to hurt anything. I was worried about possible infection so dripped candle wax into the split to seal it off and whether it helped or not I'm not sure but I pulled 8oz off her and never saw a problem. Didn't split when I set it up but as the plant grew it pushed up against the screen and forced the split so ever since I 'float' my screens so they can move up as the plants grow.

I’m curious to see what the roots look like when I take them out. I’m trying to let it go as long as possible cuz the buds smell amazing. Cut it down to 8 hours of light to try and speed it up. And cuz I can’t leave it near the others with those nanners popping up.

Cutting down the hours will slow it down if anything Better to go up an hour or two 30 min every 3 days or so. I'll start flowering at 11/13 then after the stretch gradually increase to up to 14/10. Buds need light to grow and fatten up so less does not equal more.

Are you letting your soil dry out enough between waterings? Soggy soil can go stagnant and open the door to root rot easy enough.

Also, Check for root aphids, they can easily be mistaken for gnats…

what do the stems look like currently? Broad mites come to mind when I see tops fall over like that.

Ive had many splits some severe. One plant split at original topping site that dam near went to the ground, taped it up and it never skipped a beat. Imo it isn't from a split. Is it time to give it a drink?

did you supercrop aggressively recently? branches look like that after you supercrop the shit out of them. takes a day to bounce back.

Wow never seen this happen in my life. Very interested to see the other replies in future.
It sort of like like your plants aren't getting enough water droopyness. I'd be checking for root rot, excessive salt.

I’m thinking the problem is at the roots. Not properly draining or not drying out enough between waterings, my guess would be root rot. Strange for sure definitely curious. Sorry this happened and good luck.

More than likely something to do with the roots. Get down next to your pot & smell it. Root rot tends to stink bad, if not look for root aphids

It's happened to me before. Plants just suddenly flop over. Haha. Check your soil PH. Check your run off PH. When it happened to me it was before the plants started locking out so I thought the sam thing like wtf. Is the soil dried out the same or did it stay really damp this time compared to her sisters?

It hasn’t been trained in a long time, gets watered same as all the others do.

I haven’t noticed any smells but I do think it’s gotta be a root problem. Stems look normal they’re just totally limp.

No bugs either that I can see. I poked around in the top inch or two of soil.


Won’t cutting the light make the buds mature quicker?? I’ve given up on increasing the yield I just want what’s already there to get ripe ASAP.

Although the leaves still look fine so maybe I should just leave it at 12/12. I thought for sure it was about to die completely.

There is a way to get root samples if you want to check.. You can poke a hole in the soil with a 1/2 dowel half way between plant and pot, to the bottom.. Then use a piece of wire coat hanger with a hook at the end.. Insert to different depths and take samples... I found some root rot this way... Or you can cut a hole in the bottom of your bag!
Also have a good look at the top 2-3" of soil..
