Do you think this is a good grow kit?

Depends on where youre at. HTG supply sell similar kits that include grow medium, nutrients and more for about the same or less. This one is $4701625596877598.png

The Mars rig is better than the HTG rig. Don't buy blurple lights, plus the HTG exhaust is a joke.
On the other hand against comparables on Amazon it seems to be about $200 too much. Looks to be like a well-balanced setup that will definitely produce, just a bit expensive for what he's getting.

$300 seems to be the going rate for those combos.

Tent plus lights plus exhaust combo if put together while watching the deals thread here would be around $150.

I buy my grow equipment piece by piece. I am able to control the quality of products I purchase, and most of these items have some kind of discount code.

I think you could get better equipment if you pieced it individually. I will swear by that Mars TSL2000. Just finished a run with it and it produced a great yield in my 2x4. It’s currently drying so I’m not sure of my dry weight yet but here’s a few pics. Short plant Barney’s Wedding Cake, taller plant Seedsman Blueberry still running for another 2 weeks to finish up

The Mars TS series uses old diode tech. You can get the same diodes from any knock-off Amazon LED seller these days for half the price or less. The Mars FC or SP series are much better lights than the antiquated TS series.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I'm from Europe, and Amazon always have high shipping costs, sometimes more than the product itself. So i have to get it from Aliexpress.
As for the price, i believe this is the lowest price i could find, i was searching for months trying to find the right setup, this looks like the best bang for the buck. Honestly i don't mind paying a bit more if i can get everything in one go.
I forgot to add, 500€ total is with taxes included which is 25% VAT in my country. So the actual price is around 370 more or less.

My main concern was if the light is good enough for the tent size, and could i grow 2 autoflowers with LST? But judging by those pictures it seems great.

I'll search a bit more on Aliexpress and try to find individual components, but if i decide to get this kit, there shouldn't be anything wrong?

I totally agree with Lowkey piece it out you’ll be better off in the long run. Do your research on what you need and you’ll not only have what you need but you’ll have better equipment at a fair price

Hey guys, i found another option, same kit with better light and only 50€ more, this one has Samsung diodes and Mean Well driver, it's waterproof too: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002883860173.html?gps-id=pcStoreJustForYou&scm=1007.23125.137358.0&scm_id=1007.23125.137358.0&scm-url=1007.23125.137358.0&pvid=2da749e9-83b7-4f0b-809f-6d955c3db880&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.smartJustForYou_6001051183672.7

But now i'm wondering should i get 1 light Mars Hydro SP3000: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002919979105.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_groupList.8148356.8.48636b8ffSdF8Y

Or 2 lights Mars Hydro SP150: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002920047828.html?gps-id=pcStoreJustForYou&scm=1007.23125.137358.0&scm_id=1007.23125.137358.0&scm-url=1007.23125.137358.0&pvid=07d33d29-3645-4443-b5ee-0e0ef0215b93&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.smartJustForYou_6001051183672.10

And also how far should the light be above the canopy in the flowering stage? I'm worried that a 180cm tent might be too short for an 80-100cm plant, taking the pot and the light/ducting space into account, plus the space between the canopy and the light

Looks pretty good! The newer Mars Hydro lights have caught my eye lately. If you can afford it go for the single SP3000 in a 2x4 its gonna give more light and may even run cooler than two SP150's, The Mars Hydro website also says that the SP150 doesn't have UV, and cant be dimmed plus they use Epistar chips rather than Samsung diodes. It also has a cheaper driver. In there FAQ they tell somebody to use three SP150's to replace one SP3000. Oh the SP150's can't be daisy chained, so The SP3000 will give future expandability and is more versatile.

Alright, then it's finally settled, Mars Hydro SP3000 it is :D Thank you guys very much, you've been very helpful.

Now i will look for a 2 meter tent (7 feet) just to be sure i have enough space, but if i don't find it i'll just get the kit with 180cm (6 feet) and hope for the best. Will start a journal for sure and keep you posted, probably in a month or so when i have everything set up.

What size pots are you planning to use? 7 foot is tall for a 2x2 unless your planning to use 7-10 gallon pots and even then I would question light penetration. You can add side lighting, but a 6' tent with canopy management (LST, scrog) is just right. Mount your fan and filter outside the tent for more headroom. Slap in 4 3.9 gallon autopots with the reservoir placed outside the tent and your in the sweet spot. Be aware of the strains you grow because width and depth will be more of an issue than height.
