Veg lighting

I have some 6500k CFL's on the way... but haven't arrived yet. Wondering if my seedlings will be OK under a couple 2700k lights for about a week after they sprout? (should be breaking the surface in a couple days)

I know it's not ideal... but is this light better then nothing? It's winter now, short days.. so I don't wanna just sit them on the windowsill for the risk of them flowering too early. I have a growbox with a reflector and 2700k lights only right now. Whatya think? Anyone?

A High Kevin bulb(6500 TO 5700) is needed for VEGGING, and a low kevin bulb(2700) for BLOOMING. THERE ARE MID RANGE 4100k BULBS. So you have the opposite of what you need. I think the plants will survive, but not really flourish and grow rapidly. Why don't you go to the local store (walmart, lowes, home depot) and get a few low watage cheap CFLS until yours arrive.

Or give them some sunshine!
