Dehumidifier question

So my tent is 8x8 with 2 hlg 650rs and one built cob rig i built a few years ago. My tent is in my basement in a back room. I need to use the dehumidifier to keep the humidity down however im trying to avoid having to setup my ac. My temps sit around 87 with the lights on and tent sealed up if i leave my tent open when lights on it drops to about 83. So i decided to hook up a 4 in inline fan to pull the air from the living area of the basement where it sits about 68. With the tent sealed up its not enough to bring the temp down to 82 which is where im trying to get.
Enough of the Rambling about my problems and to the question.

Can i put the dehumidifier outside of the tent to dehumidify the whole room and still keep my humidity down?
(Keep in mind im pulling air from a different room in basement where dehumidifier wont be)

Dehumidifier needs to be in the room where the intake air is pulling from.

Dehumidifier is going to raise your temps up
This is my problem. My dehumidifier is already in my tent an making my temps run up to about 87. I hooked up a inline fan to suck air from the living area of the basement to try to help bring the temps back down but dont think its going to cool enough. I was asking if i could take the dehumidifier out of the tent and dehumidify the room the tents in.

Ya I run basically a 'lung room' where I control the temp and rh and vent that air into the grow space where the flower tent is. That sucks the air from the lung room into the tents. I raised my rh to try to combat the heat and ended up just trimming off my main cola due to bud rot.
So installed the AC and dropped the rh now we growin in the zone again

Yes, you can move the dehumidifier out of the tent, and into the grow room "outside" the tent.

But if you're dehumidifying a bigger space you might need a bigger dehumidifier to deal with the larger volume of humid air.

You mentioned an intake pulling air into your growing room. What's the rest of your setup like? Do you have a fan moving hot air out of your tent? Is there a fan pulling hot air out of your growing room, or is that air just recirculating in the grow room?

For temps, have you thought about dividing your tent into two areas and running your lights one at a time, on opposite 12/12 schedules?

I have a 4 inch intake and 6 inch fan with filter which exhausts into the room my tent is in. But with my work schedule having them on at 2 different times are impossible. If i can't get the temps down enough ill plug the ac in its only the summer months that are hot.

You need to exhaust that fan and filter out of the room your tent is in.

this is the contributing factor in not being able to get your temps where you want them.

allow your grow to intake from the same room as the tent and exhaust out of the room to another area or outside.

run your dehuey in the same room as your intake air comes from after changing and hey presto controlable temps and no longer are you recirculating hot air around that room.

So remove the dehumidifier from the tent. Change my intake to the room my tents in and run my exhaust to the other room?

Bingo.

you should always exhaust away from any grow so that the grow does not have a chance of recirculating the warm air you are dumping out.

That way you can Intake from the basement where you use a dehuey to dry the air being taken in to the tent.

exhaust outside or to another room to make sure you aren’t recirculating
