AN 3part pH Perfect Nutes

Hey everyone. I started using this line of food for my DWC grow, I have been on the Cyco nutes for a while and felt like switching it up. I was attracted to the pH perfect line because I work away from home quiet a bit and my neighbour (non-420 smoker) loves taking care of my plants when I'm away but I'd like to ease the burden on him and myself. Now I am not having any issues with the AN line but I am curious on a few things and anything yall might do with this line.

1. Do you add cal mag to this lineup? I noticed a mag deficiency and slow growth at low E.C. values 0.3 for my first set of 1 finger leaves. I added cal-mag to each bucket and it helped.

2. When they advertise pH perfect is that 7.0 as perfect or 5.5-6.5pH for DWC or what is their perfect in sense of pH. ? I use RO water from a store add Micro, Grow, Bloom, (cal mag), B-52 in that order and it gives me what I'd call pH neutral (7.0).

3. Is the pH perfect line worth it, or go with the normal line?

The Cyco nutes used before I never had to add Cal Mag but had to be vigilant in watching the pH levels.
I have also replaced my 1000w digital ballast (Air cooled hood w MH/HPS bulbs) with a Spiderfarm SF4000 LED light.

Do you grow in a sterile system or with hydrogaurd or something similar?

AN will not work if you use a sterilizing agent.

You are not supposed to check the ph when using ph perfect line up...that is what they say. So it does not matter what it is. You don't even look at it.

Imo...buy jacks 321. AN is water with some stuff in it. Just buy the stuff before they put it in water and save money.

AN did not work for me but that was my situation. It works for others.

AN works just fine while using H2O2. (I use 29% at 3 ml per gallon every 3 to 4 days) ..I also use CalMag at 4ml per gallon beginning at week 3. I also use nothing but Sensi Bloom for both the veg and flowering cycles. It actually has more N than Sensi Grow.

I dont use sterlizing agents in my grow just bounty towels for the inside of my buckets. So I have turned my exhaust fan off. Thus creating a 76-80f canopy temp in my tent, the plants have really bounced back. I took the AN feed chart and used it to par with extra cal mag and the plants love it.
1.3-1.7EC and a pH of 7-7.2 with these AN pH perfect nutes. I donno its a voodoo grow to me now.

interesting. I am using the ph perfect line as well with big bud now that i'm in flower. I bought a bottle of Cal-Mag plus by bontanicare but after doing a little research came across someone who said if you add cal-mag (that isn't part of the ph perfect lineup) it messes with the ph perfect 'technology'.
so my question is are you using cal-mag by advanced nutrients? or a different brand? glad to hear it worked out for you either way

I use Botanicare's Cal-Mag at 4ml per gallon with AN base nutes and have no issues.

After having an 2.3EC (recommended E.C. based on the feed chart AN they gave me) and a pH perfect value of 7.1 in store bought RO water. I've decided to skip the AN pH perfect 3 part nutrient base and went back to the Cyco Nutrients. Due to lack of information from manufacter of a rough E.C. range and what pH perfect really means. I've decided to go with what I know works Cyco Grow and Bloom A&B depending on light cycle

Never had to use CalMag with cyco nutrients in DWC I typically run - A&B, B1 boost, uptake, zyme and dr. repair for veg. I'm almost 3 weeks behind from using AN.

I did tons of research prior to my using AN and what I found was that the people that had the most problems were the folks that insisted on checking their pH. For me, it's just set it and forget it.

There's no self pHing nutrients, AN pay a hefty fine every year for false claims/advertisment. Chemistry tells us minerals have either positive or negative charge and work by cation exchange.

Just Be. I did set and forget but when I start to see def, I have to look its in my nature. Im not knocking your methods and I appreciate the open discussion on such things. So Im not wanting to come around sounding like a j*ck*ss nor am I here to arguing with people. I've posting my logs about what I've had done in the past 20ish days.

I have checked a few days in a row but never adjusted the pH just let it do its thing. Days between looking at pH and the only reason I have is the leaves were showing deficiencies and the one main issue I have is what is pH perfect ? 7.0 or cannabis grow pH. as the company does not state what pH perfect is. and my water is from an store I refill 5g jugs with RO water for the plants.

Yeah I had that feeling thanks Wastei. My local hydrostore guy told me the airstone was causing the increase in pH to the DWC buckets and tried to sell me hydroguard. I just looked at him.

I use the 2 part Sensi line. Zero issues. But I see a lot of people having problems with the three part line, that's too many bottles lol.

I've had better success with Medi-1 than 3part AN :hump:. Medi-1 is my go to for soil and peat moss grows.

Hey Failmore
Sorry for the late reply. The funny thing is when I spoke with the guy at the hydro store he tried to sell me hydrogaurd (or similar). He told me the high pH was due to running airstones in my DWC buckets and hydrogaurd would resolve that issue. I just looked at him like a deer in headlights.

Side note.. he is a great salesman, but has no clue about anything, esp when he says "i grow in soil" - than next words this happened to me in my rez..

UGHHHHH ADVANCE NUTRIENTS......PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DEFINE WHAT YOU CALL pH PERFECT.
I plan to return my unopened base nutes to them. who has been thru this process?

if youre having problems using AN, youre either using them wrong or its environmental. yea its overpriced...and watered down...and too many bottles...and big mike is a dick...but its still one of the best and gives great results when used correctly in any system...and i dont even use it anymore

GH that's fair, what is pH perfects pH value? and their EC value at their recommended serving as my original post stated?
Set and forget is fine, until you run into problems.

Im not looking for an argument but an actually discussion on them, or what is your EC and pH using these in DWC buckets.

follow-up questions if you don't mind; do you use well water? if so, what is the ppm before adding nutes? thanks

i noticed quite a bit of hating on AN here nowadays. back around 2010 when i first joined, it was one of the most popular, if not THE most popular nutrient and everyone loved it.. (which is why, after not growing for years, my go-to was the AN line that i already had sitting on a shelf collecting dust). so far I'm 2 weeks into flower and i am happy with it.. no issues with nutrient burn or deficiencies

Well people grow up and learn from past mistakes. That's what the community is for, informing people how to grow top shelf medicine without breaking the bank.
