Quick Question
Say my plant started to get the right height and the routes were strong. Would i start buying flowering nutrients and how much would i put in the aerogarden? because i only have 1 plant going as a test to try it out.

uhhhh...im not sure bout the AG nutes cause i just used them until i got the general hydr flora line.I have no idea about those nutes,,maybe someone can touch on that alil better cause i dont know.
Youll need flowering nutes to have a succesfull yeild and nice fat buds along with the correct light.if you just using the AG hood you might want to get a couple clamp on 150w cfl's(the light that loooks like a coiled up snake)i wouold add atleat 2 or 3 more!Youll need the extra light cause during flowering the plants require stronger lighting.PeaCe

ex: if i bught flowering nutes from like home depot or bloom booster.
how much would i put it the aero? how would i measure ?

you'd have to break it down to how much per gallon, then you can just mix it in a gallon and fill the reservoir. i just mix my stuff together in a gallon of distilled and then pour it in the res.

On the question of nutes, here is a sure fire way to go if you are confused:

Purchase this product online (amazon is a good place to get it) "Fox Farm Hydroponic Nutrient Trio" and if you have a little extra cash "Fox Farm Soluble Try Pack" will enhance the natural flavors and sugars of your bud.

For a feeding schedule this is what you should follow:

On a side note, its best not to nute your plants the first two weeks, it will stress them out when they don't need it. Once your plants are at the two weeks stage pick up where the schedule says to, but only start with 1/2 solution for the first week. You can step it up to full nutes a week later. If you absolutely HAVE to nute your plants you can do it on the first week, just ensure your first two weeks are on 1/4 strength what the schedule says and ween them on to it (if you wouldn't feed a newborn baby solid food...you probably shouldn't nute your newborn plants plants.)

For mixing, just go buy a gallon of distilled water for like $.99, poor off like 1/4 cup of the water out of the gallon jug into your AG. Then add the appropriate amount of nutes based off the schedule to your jug o water. Shake, check ph (the fox farm nutes auto balance the ph for you but check anyway to make sure), and poor into your reservoir. Because the AG has less than a gallon reservoir, you will need to save the extra nute mix to add later as the plants drink.

see how it has each week labeled and what to mix with what. but in each week it has different nutes to mix with the gals. i cant hold all that in my aero. its confusing me. am i suppose to mix all that in one day ? or how am i suppose to judge that ?

You are going to mix the different nute types into ONE 1gallon container, ensure you don't mix them directly together, you need to put them in your gallon of distilled water one at a time, close the lid and shake. Don't poor the full gallon of mixed water/nutes in the AG. Poor as much of it as you can to top off your system, the rest of the water can be stored for the rest of the week. Every day go check your water level, occasionally you will need to refill a little bit, thats what the extra is used for.

anyone know of a good flavor/ripener to add to my regimine? i'm running the flora series of gen. hydro, and i'm going to add kool bloom and florakleen for blooming and flushing at the end. i'm looking for something else to add for carb and bud formation. maybe carbo-load or big bud? anyone know anything about this or have any suggestions on what to use? i'm using an aerogarden, so would like something liquid like the gen. hydro nutes.

do you think personally that the soluble trio pack helps out the plant a lot more. Or does the hydroponic nutrient trio do the job by itself.

if you got the extra money buy it. The soluble pack won't affect your bud size, it enhances the natural flavors and sugars making a well cured bud VERY tasty.

everyone here seems to use fox farm. my buddy is using it too and he loves it. i'm going with general hydroponics florabloom, floragro, and floramicro tri-pack b/c i didn't want to spend 70 bucks on nutes. gen. hydro is like 30-40 bucks depending upon where you go. but once i get the kool bloom and florakleen, i guess it'll cost about the same. some here just use the ag nutes and they get awesome results too. it's all about how much tlc you put into your grow man. good luck and keep us updated on your choice and results.

should i add more lighting. because these little lights for the aero garden might not be enough.

persay: 2 150w cfl's ? would that be good for flowering stage or for the whole process?

On lighting you want about 3000lumens per square foot of grow to maximize growth (with any more and you need to start adding CO2 to aid in the photosynthesis.) The AG lights put out 1700lumens roughly. Your job is to go to walmart, find a DAYLIGHT spectrum CFL (not regular CFL's as they are "soft white" spectrum which is what most house lights provide). On the package, find out how many lumens it outputs and do a little math to get a proper amount of bulbs for your desired light output.

once i follow this chart and do everything perfectly. i should have strong fully grown plants? then i would just have to harvest. correct ?:joint::confused:
