Fed once a day.Six feeds a day??
Is there a bunch of super cropping on that beast or are the swollen spots natural??
Jorge Cervantes is vocal often about only needing 18" deep soil for outdoor...indoor yeah we're boned and gotta make due within constraints...his gardens are shallow but wide bedsI read in last month HighTimes that the wider the Pot/growing bag is the more you yield you can make. If the roots stretch out wider and make a bigger network of roots the branches will stretch out as far as the root network goes. In one example with help from FIMing a person was able to get 10 pounds from 12 plants using the wider/shallower growing medium. I read it in HighTimes so i believe it has atleast some truth to it, but I'm no expert :s
10g is 10g square makes no difference round makes no difference, what pot is on does. Eg. Soil roots will go through pot, deck you get root spaghetti. Cement dont know yet?I am planning on using 10 gallon pots and found out that they have both deep or wide pots. Which type of pot would give me the greatest yield? The shallow but wide type or the narrow but long type?
Also most are master growers who have been growing 30 yearsWhy is it that every new persons first post is a necro?
I think it all depends if you want shorter bushier plants then shorter pots mine are 5 gallon grow pots I cut down to be close to 3.5 gallon pots. My tent is just over 5 feet tall so I have to keep the height of plants shorter.I am planning on using 10 gallon pots and found out that they have both deep or wide pots. Wait, srsly, did you just say that the shape of your roots have an influence on the shape of your canopy?I think it all depends if you want shorter bushier plants then shorter pots mine are 5 gallon grow pots I cut down to be close to 3.5 gallon pots. You didn't know?Wait, srsly, did you just say that the shape of your roots have an influence on the shape of your canopy?
Yes according to all the research reading I have done.Wait, srsly, did you just say that the shape of your roots have an influence on the shape of your canopy?
You didn't know?
Back to the age old argument of length vs girth?Northwood says that its better to have wider pots rather than deeper, something like that I remember.
edit: I mean I guess for a 10 - 20 gallon pot doesn't make that much difference. When I read that, he was talking about a 100 gallon bed.
Please link me to one of your primary, peer reviewed research articles.Yes according to all the research reading I have done.
And if you put them in a rectangle planter box, they will grow into rectangles.Wait, srsly, did you just say that the shape of your roots have an influence on the shape of your canopy?
