What is this brown deadish looking bud?

My plant seems to be starting her change from milky white buds to amber trichromes. All my buds are think and dense and they smell like sweet success?! However, there is 2 little pieces that are totally brown. They smell the same and feel the same but look very different. Any clue?

The other picture is off the buds, how close are they and how do I really know? They are autos, planted ,may 22, all the buds are 1/3 amber

The first two pics are a little blurry, but it (sadly) looks like bud rot.
My opinion; Cut those sections off the plant. Make sure to remove it all (cut out slightly more than the 'brown' you can see).
Then, double check the area where you cut away the bud. To make sure none is left :)
you should be ok then. Just watch out for any rain in Bloom. Best to shake down the whole plant if it gets rained on in Bloom (when the buds have formed and are growing).

Peace.

nb:
As for finishing time. They still look 4+ weeks away (a little hard to say for sure)

Pretty small buds for almost done. My autos outside are just a week or so into flowering and the buds are almost that big. Not really but I expect beer can sized colas when they are done in a couple months.

I can't tell from the pics if it's just brown hairs or bud rot going on. If rot the buds will crumble if handled then the spores will be all over the other buds and rot them. If it seems like rot don't try cutting out just the affected buds as that will spread the spores. Put a plastic bag over the tops then tie it tightly around the stem below the affected area and cut the whole top off to remove it without spreading it around.

Good luck!

Ok, so I thank you very much for your feedback. I cut off that bud and a little other one. The rest of her looks ok. That is trichrome color changing though, right? On the others,? They are green all sound and on the stem and internodes where the buds are.

Can I take the other little bud that got cut off with the brown piece and dry out and will it get he stoned?

About smoking the brown/rotted sections:
OldMedUser, myself (and the rest of the forum) would give a resounding "NO!". T'is bad JuJu!

As for the rest of the plant (judging by the last two pics) it is fine.
Just roll on ..and pray for sun and blue skies till Harvest time

Oh fuck my life, I didn't finger fuck it around but I did remove it and I prob spread the spores...I hope I didn't kill my baby.
They are tough little buggers (being weeds).
Personally, if I'm a little worried about the end result (after cutting it out), a little spray of H2O2 (3% hydrogen peroxide) will clear anything at the cut point. In fact, if it 'bubbles' it can be an indication you need to cut more out.
Off hand, I'd say don't worry. Ride it out and keep and eye on things. Chalk up any issue to experience.
You'll probably be ok though.
