Hey so im having problem growing from seeds i dont do it often as im usually a clone guy but this is the 2nd batch of seeds ive sprouted and after i put them in soil about the 3rd day they are just plopping over. I noticed my soil had a PPM of over 2000 the first time not sure how that happend and so this time i made sure so flush out the promix to make sure it was at low enough of a ppm and it was sitting around 300. Now if anyone has any advice on what the hell im doing wrong please educate me as im lost for words.

Not enough light - way stretched.

you can aid in supporting those baby stalk - either a stick , straw , etc.

You can also top those cups off with more soil to support them too.

Damn i thought seedlings barely needed any light? I dont grow from seeds often but the few times i have i never had this issue. I put the light a little lower and see if that helps. thanks for the advice

This one snapped trying to prop it up. But this is exactly what the last 2 batches of seeds did. The stems got brown and wilted then just plopped over. You sure thats light issue?

Damping-off is a common disease that can affect sprouting seeds, seedlings, or cuttings. It can be caused by several types of fungi, namely Pythium, Botrytis, and Fusarium. Pythium is most common. Although fungus is the main reason for damping-off, the disease is normally the result of several conditional factors.

Sometimes, the fungus can already be present in the growing medium or substrate that you use for germinating. This can happen when your substrate is not sterile.

The second factor can be that the substrate has been wet for too long, most likely from overwatering or due to poor drainage qualities.

Lastly, another factor that can contribute to damping-off is excessive humidity in your growing environment, most-often paired with a lack of adequate air circulation.

Each of these factors by itself or in combination increases the risk for damping-off. Once the conditions for the fungus to grow are optimal, the disease will normally attack your plants at the bottom of the stem, just above the soil line. The fungus will weaken the stem, cut-off the fluid circulation of your seedling, and ultimately kill it.

They are stretching because they want more light...but they cannot support themselves so they tip over. How wet is the soil? How high is the humidity? Either of these things being too wet or too high of humidity for too long will cause damping off. That is a disease caused by fungi that attacks at the ground level.

You need more air circulation in there, and less moisture in your substrate.

Shit i did have an issue with root rot one some hydro buckets i had but i ended up getting rid of them and treating everything with physan20. This issue was over a 3 months ago and not sure how it is affecting and getting into fresh new soil. What would be the best way to cure this and prevent it from spreading to my other seedlings?

Make sure your seedlings have drainage.
Don't keep the soil soaking wet
Have better air circulation
Keep humidity under 70%

The growing medium is very saturated as i wanted to make sure and flush the soil out because it was so high in PPM my main question is how is it getting into the new soil so fast? should i re transplant the other seedlings into some new soil that is less damp?
