White or black widow

High stoners,

searching for the best white widow.
Should i go with Ingmar or mister nice?
Only regs.
What is your experience?

As far as experience, I've heard black widow is a more sativa dominant expression of the genome, same is true for the delta 9 labs variation I grew, very chemical/cleaner smelling. Black widow is bred by the original breeder under mrnice seeds so you can't go wrong ordering from the man himself

This is what i found:
"Ingemar (De Sjamaan) invented WW already in 1987. […]
It was called Arnhem’s Wonder and already won the first HL cup in 1989. […]
For those who don’t believe this, please call Coffeeshop Catweazel or Roger from the grow shop; they worked with Ingmar for a long time.
Roger has always sold the clones he had. He had a famous grow shop in Nijmegen. I bought the male and female among other plants in 1992 and only crossed them in 1994. I did not have to do any breading on the White Widow at that time because Ingemar had already done it for us.
And to this day you can still buy original clones of the White Widow in that area of Holland.

Don t know which story is true.

Want not grow any greenhouse gear and they are fems.

Read on mister nice forum nobody grows black widow since 2019 there is something wrong.

This can t be the original.

Any thoughts?

You want pretty old greenhouse stock in a ideal world trying to find the real widow these days is a crap shoot tho

Shantibaba was the head breeder for Greenhouse along with Neville Schoenmakers. They bred White Widow, White Rhino, Great White Shark. After deciding to sell his share of the business to Arjan Shantibaba took all of HIS parental breeding stock with him to Spain to set up Mr Nice Seed Co. and to separate his stuff from all of the other "White Widow" etc out there (in most cases F2's made from seeds purchased from Mr Nice by other companies) on the market.

Mr Nice / Shantibaba puts out some of the most genetically stable, true breeding cultivars you could ever buy and if you use the auction on their site you get absolutely incredible bargains on everything on the MNS menu.

I know that i know the history shantis isnt the same anymore tho unfortunately

Man, that's devastating to hear! I ran one pack of MNS Black Widow split in halves over the course of two seasons respectively and didn't find anything that resembled all the White Widow I had ever come across in my teenage years through to early adulthood.

The pheno of Widow I was hoping to get had that very lung expansive smoke with a pepper meets coffee-ish kind of smell/taste that would grab you around the throat on the exhale each and every time. That pheno could put the most tolerant smokers to sleep after 4 or 5 bongs.

Yeah it was my fave strain too sucks its so hard to find the real one
