Does that really pass off as humour where you live?

Fkn easily amused, golfers elbow is no joke I can assure you.
Living here it kind of does.

Anyway for your elbow, sometimes it takes about 3 of those injections every 6ish weeks to clear that.

Next tape up your medial epicondyle and start exercising. I recommend KT Tape (it's what I use, not for my elbow). https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/globalassets/pdfs/a00790_therapeutic-exercise-program-for-epicondylitis_final.pdf

A sure fire cure for a painful elbow is a real serious problem........diagnosed with a debilitating disease(like MS)......the loss of a limb or limbs..............severe depression.......loss of a loved one(maybe a child)...and on and on. I've always told my kids that their are problems but then there are real problems.......if they can't handle the small ones they are screwed ...gotta have a strong foundation. Your perspective changes big time with real problems....things that use to bother You fade away.

Thanks very much for sharing the file that's much appreciated.

I've just had a quick look I'll get started on the exercises tonight.

Odd thing is it started during the lock down when I wasn't doing any work or fishing

Oh come on you'll then have ms, one leg and still have a sore elbow?
Do you seriously think that's the only problem in life I have?

Has anyone had injections for golfers or tennis elbow?

Was it effective for you?

I've had injections into my elbows but that's a month now and it's still aches sufficiently to keep awake at night.
I have tendonitis in both elbows. Got it from playing way to much golf. I tried everything and finally had to totally quit. I assume the injections you are referring to is a cortizone shot. That is a great temporary help but my Doc said you couldn't do that more than a few times. The only thing I found that helped was rest it. If I tried to play 18 holes I wouldn't be able to make certain movements without pain. Wouldn't be able to touch my nose for a couple of days.

@Star Dog @putembk et.al.
guys try this, it worked for me more than once as a weightlifter and elbow pain.
you should start by reducing any inflamation though if it's there, reduce loads, ice it, then tomorrow...
Reverse curls, start light couple of days, then get amped, get pumped, fight thru the pain for a moment, try again and if it feels better you power through over the next 2-3 weeks...new elbows.

Funny you mentioned that. I got the same advise from a friend. For me anyway it made it worse. I can still fly fish and play ping pong but golf is out. I messed my tendons up bad. I kept playing for a year after the symptoms started.....I was plain stupid. Thanks for the tip though.

Being able to fly fishing is main concern, atm fly fishing doesn't really bother it.
I've spent a few nights recently at sea trout but it doesn't hurt anymore than usual.

@mudballs thanks for sharing that bud much appreciated.

sorry guys, ok one more alternative....there's something called peptides, BPC-157 to be precise...they are synthesized naturally in the body but you can also inject it at the site of the pain with insulin syringe (big babies) and the regime of consistent doses can stimulate and accelerate the healing of tendon and ligament tissue. I also have experience with this, and that is another story. should you wish to look into peptides, which are not steroids mind you, you can find plenty of success stories here and maybe heal ur body without a doctor...im living proof it works

My main problem is I can't relax. My hands and body tighten up like a cable. I have tried everything. Right now sitting here on my deck overlooking the 15 the tea box is enough. So busy I don't have time to play anyway.

I have gotten a 2 now for an arthritic worn out shoulder, 3 months apart. The first time he gave me a single injection, and it helped some. The next time, after 3 months, he did 6 injections...all the way around the joint, and I got great relief from that, for about 5-6 weeks. But it's been 8 weeks now and it's killing me again.

Most doctors go light on the steroids though because they are not good for your cartilage. I have had tennis elbow before though and it can take several months to heal up from...Ice and heat are your friends.

Happy Hump day peeps, Lovin' life however it goes. My wife had Gall bladder removed yesterday, she's hurting bad but should be fine. I'm not good in medical facilities, so since I'm not allowed inside unless I'm admitted {wifes orders], I found a spot in the shade to sit and think, uh oh, realized we were on auto pilot. Kinda take each other and our good life for granted,, sort of a weird wake up call. Then I got silly and almost had to self inflict an intervention. I just can't seem to stop buying beans! Beans, beans, good for your heart. I got a lot of heart! Peace...

I'm with you on the complacency thing - it slips up on you with no notice.
Sometimes a small twist in the plot is what we need.

I hope Momma feels better soon.
