First timer looking for tips

First off, thanks for any input, I've been lurking from the shadows and decided to bask in the light.

So a few things, I'm growing in a Mars hydro 600w budget kit. Inline AC fan and two 5 lb pots. I grabbed a small bag of FFOF and like a moron split it in two so I have basically two 2.5 plants. At the time I was more ambitious and figured soil is soil. Now though as I want to LST I'm wondering if it was the right choice. Thankfully they're both fabric pots so I'm going to fold them down to create space but any input is greatly appreciated.

BTW no nutes just Ph water at first from seedling stage till now, they're both seedsman NL autos. My local hydro store guy said dry nutes by around week 5 will suffice since I want to keep it as organic as possible.

Oh 1 more thing, my RH usually is between high 50s low 60s and for now that's fine, I've read but once flowering starts rule of thumb is about 40% right? Any ideas on how to get the humidity down without buying a dehumidifier I don't think the tent has enough space.

Wait for better answer but the only way i know to lower humidity without one is through temperature control and ventilation .
Not sure if any guys use something like a damprid bucket to absorb any moisture but just a thought

Thanks, I just recently added a 2nd fan which has helped somewhat. I also got a third somewhat smaller battery powered fan to increase air flow as well

I'm probably going through more of the newbie micromanaging issues.

Not enough space? There's always enough space. I got a 2x4 with 3 fans, a dehu. Buy a little dehu and hang it like you do your lights just lower to thr ground.

I got this one of Amazon, Mines called "Lockdown" was like 60$ I believe. Possibly go a little bigger. I think it kinda struggles, but it works good enough for my situation.

If you really dont have room , i dont know tent dimensions you would/could go the other way and get one big enough to dehumidify the room/space tent is in. Of course youd have to exhaust out of space

Bam gave you a great idea, if you got the money and your tent is in like your bedroom. I would just buy a good reliable dehu. If you have a bottom.flap on your tent open you can place the dehu rigjt next to it.

How much are you looking to yield ? And how often? With your current set up and running about 2.5 gallon pots.. you’ll probably be okay to veg for only a few weeks then you’ll have to flip to flower with your space constraints. With that light and depending on what strain you’re running you’ll be lucky to pull 3 ounces max

Most of this right now is an experiment for me so 3 zips is better than what I have now which is none. When it comes to using the full amount of soil in the 5 gallon pots, now if I were to want to fill these pots to the full potential, do I do another run FFOF or not because of the built in nutes?

And when it comes to transplanting it's gonna be harder since they're fabric but I got my hands on some mycorrhizae, to keep the process from killing whatever progress I've made so far.

I would just transplant into more FFOF. If you can add in another 10-20% perlite of the overall volume. That will allow the soil to be aerated and drain more efficiently. I wouldn’t stress over the transplant. Got something skinny (like a paint mixer stick) and run it around the medium in between the edge of the dirt and the fabric pot. Run it all the way down to the base of the pot and all the way around the edge and it will be much easier. With the light you have and the space, I think 5 gallons are a little overkill. 3 gallons would probably suit you better. At that point, you’d have enough built in nutes to last until late flower and then you could feed bloom nutes

Thank you, I had a feeling using the full 5 gallon was a bit much. I'm definetly going to put some of this into play
