we understand that you get what you pay for. I can't believe how many times I have answered the question "What's your secret?" with "soil"....

I just quit after looking at this. How about I bring a case of beer and we talk and just stare at your grow. Awesome job. I would be sitting in their looking at my plants 12hrs a day if those were mine

One thing you climate looks like high humidity and “wet”. with these climates I’ve noticed plants can have a hard time drying out their root zone. Ambient humidity, vapor pressure deficit. You know..

Planning ahead for the hottest driest weather to feed in might help you get the most bang for your buck when you water.

Early am on heat wave days, after letting the roots dry a lot.. hit them hard with your feed regime. W

Also it’s close to transition time. Would recommend some foliars to help them max out the cytokinetins . I use soluble kelp and a liquid bone ferment a friend makes. Hit them at night with Spray it will help the bud set a bunch.. and super crop !

Just dont smoke or drink when your super crop ping and always do it at night out of the sunlight. I’ve learned these lessons the hard way.

Solid work
Really appreciate the advice and kind words thank you. Gonna let them dry right out before the next tea. It’s the 18th of July and so far it has rained all but 1 day. And I think you’re right it is time for another foliar feed,I’ll take care of that when I’m back in town. ✌

This time of year remember to spray at night,

I use grandevo, venerate and plant therapy.
Aphids, broadmites, and russet mites are rampant where I’m at.

Also consider some biologicals
Swarski mites and green lacewings are cheap and easy to put up.
We do a big order and early August the good bugs go into their new homes.

Shale peak horticulture is the site. Bob is the man, best cheapest bugs arbico is second more expensive but also good.

I’m also use a root drench subdue maxx , it’s an antifungal and one of the only “bad things “ I give the girls. 1 dose early July, one dose early August. This half-life is 20 days and it kills fusarium and root diseases. Look for “pitting and splitting “ on your stems. It’s indicative of fusarium a fungus basically it clogs the xylem and can outright kill big plants. Also trichoderma 22 can work we use both.

Stretch should start happening now, trellis if you haven’t already.

I like to also foliar a mix of kelp ( ascophylum nodosum ) and Epsom salts .
About 1/2 tsp per gallon. I tank mix this and splash a little regalia in as well , the kelp has natural PGRs they support tight internodal spacing.

They’re starting to bush up big time. Tallest one is around 5’ tall. I figure by the time some are done stretching, they’ll be around 7’. I obviously put to many in in this greenhouse. The other greenhouse is even fuller. They’re getting put in soil this weekend. They’ll settle in from replant, probably close to time they start the switch, I’m thinking.
Mainly 3 Snowcain phenos I hunted
1 GG#4 (the super bushy ground crawler)
1 Beleaf White Truffle
1 Pancakes Cookies Breeders cut
1 WWxBB pheno I hunted
(Half of the girls aren’t pictured)

Whenever the mullein ( yellow plant on the left ) throws out fat colas you know the girls are gonna stack . This garden is east facing , drinks well water daily on 1/2” drip works inline tubing wirh 12” spacing about 45 ‘ of tubing is coiled in each pot.

with a tea about once a week. I got some secret sauce type recipes I’ve been shown.
But truthfully
Climate is a big role .
Soil is #2

it’s almost flower time , hope your all relaxin and realizing your monster plant dreams. Hit em hard rn with some nitrogen for the stretch !
Peace and goodwill to all y’all

Terrific growing.

Where are you? Guessing Sierra Nevadas.

Stretch started for you yet? Seems late here this summer. More rain and less sun than typical in July. Just topdressed with worm castings and bloodmeal....last dose of N for the year, should take them into September.

Good guess, im soaking up sunshine in the foothills, fingers crossed because it is so dry here. We could use a little of your rain.

The girls just started stretching roughly a week ago, some of faster finishing strains already have little budsites. usually October 12-20 is the window .. I use a lunar calendar to plant and harvest so whenever it says is optimal I’ll go. Harvest takes 3 cuts. It’s always best to start a little early as a wet fall can be a nightmare if you’ve procrastinated chopping the plants.

this week is trellising , get them all locked in tight.
Ill top feed with 9-3-0 bat guano this week .. in early/mid sept I’ll topfeed oyster shell, bone meal granular, kelp meal and Langbenite.

And many thanks for the compliment, it’s always appreciated.
I’ll try not to hog this thread please post some pics to share

Gotta be awful hard out there knowing what a tinderbox those hills are. With the worst of the fire season still ahead. My dad's in Mariposa County, last year he dodge a bullet but got smoke out real bad. I've been trying to get him to pull up stakes and move but he's stubborn.

I just started checking the farmer's almanac for moon planting too this year. You must have a decent crew for harvest? Just one of those plants must take all day to take down!

Thanks for sharing your feeding regimen. This year I'm thinking I may go light on the feeding during flower. There should be enough nutrients in that soil to keep them happy, I may do a little tea here and there. Last year (my first) I think I was a little heavy handed (based on my post-harvest soil test I overdid the P plus some other stuff). Curious if it the flavor will be smoother.

You get much wind there? At the end of September last year we had a storm that pretty much blew my garden down flat, including the trellising. Fortunately I was able to stand it all back up and there was surprisingly little damage, but it was not a fun experience. This year trellis will be sturdier.

And many thanks for the compliment, it’s always appreciated.

Here's a few pics from the weekend:

Here's a pair of copper chem (left and center) and a Chinook Haze. Getting toward 6 feet tall. Last year they were a good foot taller and bushier at this same date. Not as much sun as usual in July, guessing that's the reason. They were growing as much as a foot per week at the end of July last year, this year it's more like 5-6 inches.

garden-week-16.jpg

In addition to the MJ I also planted a mess of Cherry Wine for CBD. While the MJ garden gets shaded in mid-afternoon the hemp gets sun till 7pm. Curious if that will make a difference on the flowers. These are pushing toward 6 feet also:

cwa-week-16.jpg

And for fall weather insurance I have a few Cherry Wines in 10g grow bags I can move into the shed if things get dicey:

Nice plants !^^ They look super healthy and thriving. I’m of the thought you don’t need excessive nutrients as well . Soil provides as long as it’s healthy.

Yeah fire season is always a hard time of year.
You have to be proactive with defensible space, we do a lot of clearing and RX burning in winter so you just do the best and be prepared. It’s up to the gods. Mariposa is extra hot and dry chaparral. I’m not sure if from past logging/ mining or what but drive up 120 from oak dale to groveland its always such hot dry hills with scrub.

It’s beautiful being near Yosemite though . And some great rivers in that area

We have orchard ladders for the harvest, which is essential for big plants.
usually will hire a few friends to help us if we have weather rolling in /always grateful for extra hands on deck
