Opinions on how ready my girl is

First post, hello, I've been a long time browser and this has been my go to spot post overgrow.

I would like to share that I've done my fair share of research and my first plant went very well. Jack Herer Auto, 5oz from a 5 gallon using Fox farm stuff and a mix of my grow tent and real sun outside.

I sprouted a critical purple (which this post is about) and a Hindu Kush at the same time, the first of June. Growers choice has critical purple listed as being 60-70 days of flowering, I contacted them and asked if that included the from the time it sprouted (some sites list them like that). They told me it was strictly from the time it started flowering, cool, that was about July 1st at a month old.

Anyways, my critical purple has far more red hairs than my Hindu Kush (which has a shorter listed flowering time), and is slightly fatter as well. I'm still trying to get the hang of checking the trichomes, but I don't see much amber at all, maybe a few spots that might have brushed up against things but that's it.

My estimates are for the critical purple to be ready by mid September, so I'm trying to get at least one or two more nutrient feedings in before the flush but I'm afraid the plant might be closer to ready.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to RIU.

It still has quite a bit of white hairs. The trichomes in the loupe look clear, no cloudy, no amber, not all fully developed even. It looks like the trichomes you picked are on sugar leaves, not the main part of the bud. The ones on the main part of the buds are the ones you want to pay attention to.

It's got a ways to go yet.

If you've got the budget for it, the item below is what I use to scope my trichs. My profile pic was taken with it.

Thank you, I will buy that scope! Also I picked a tiny piece of what I believe to be bud. All I have first have knowledge is is the Jack I harvested and it wasn't much thicker than this lol. I'm glad my estimate harvest date seems reasonable, I'm excited indeed.

Can anybody pinpoint what exactly is going on with the yellowing of my leaves on both flowering plants? I believe I have some light burn, I've since moved the light higher.

The yellowing and even some purpling of the leaves started to happen deep into flowering on my first/last plant but in the end I got a great yield, so it wasn't a big deal.

I just want to understand wtf is going on and if and how to fix it. I know this naturally happens to further into flowering I get but it seems excessive, I see some people's pictures with their leaves still looking brand new all over.

Again, I'm using Fox farm soil and nutes, I even started calmag the last 2 feedings. I use my hose to fill up 1 gallon jugs and let them sit for at least 1 day outside.

Also, I've been pulling off leaves as they turn mostly yellow, and there's been quite a bunch pulled thus far
