On the combined subject of funky, energetic-high, landraces- I wish more people would grow out S. African Kwazulu. I got mine (regular) from World of Seeds (via Seedsman) and when in full flower it has a really unique berry-sweet smell that morphs into a dirty-diaper sort-of scent. Like if you fed a baby only berry smoothies and it pooped it out.
Very energetic high, and when smoked it uncured (just dry) gave a headband effect but soon I was off getting shit done!
I crossed some with Durban Poison from Dutch Passion. Have seeds but need grow them out.
Picked the two for their alleged energetic-high, and mold and disease resistance in more mild climates (North Coast of California here).
I really like the Kwazulu funk and high, and the pheno of my DP seems to be an outlier- it’s more “grapefruit pine-sol” than the anise most others talk about. Hopefully get a little terp influence from both- could call it “Mommy/Daddy’s Helper” due to the pine-sol-over-dirty-diaper scent it would hopefully carry, haha.

I ran their Kilimanjaro twice & still have most of fem lack left. It was a pretty good plant but gave me "Jack terps", never tried the Kwazulu bc they sounded similar.

The Oaxacan mentioned above, yes. C88. Cinderella's 99 (C88 x Oaxacan) from Sumo. Any C99 cross like C99 x Sweet Skunk and C99 x Texada Timewarp, from Peak Seeds in BC.
I smoked stuff once or twice back in the early 1980s from Thailand or Vietnam that was like this. Most people don't want weed like this.

I decided to buy another 30 seeds of Golden Tiger regs, I think I'm going to leave updates on this thread in case people are curious. Should be in my hands in about 2 weeks.

I will be looking for a rotting meat phenotype, if I find one I will grow some Maruf Kandahar from "Indian Landrace Exchange" to breed the rotting funk of the Afghan Into the Golden Tiger in hopes of producing something rancid/rotten with extreme hybrid vigor and potency. I want something that makes my neighbors wonder if I'm Ed Gein.

What were your flower times and growing style? Soil or hydro?

Ive ran about 3 or 4 Jack crosses & to me it smells like this candy sucker but with some pine & a lil bit of spice.

Every Jack herer cross or jh by itself ive ran was straight up black pepper type of terps except 1 pheno of critical jack herer by delicious seeds. That one was fruity goodness. I must have bad luck with jh.

The pepper terp jh plants had more of hybrid type high. The fruity one was anti depression relief happy uplifting stone.

I've had Jack with Amnesia Haze, Blueberry & Durban Poison so that's probably a big factor in my Jack experiences. Thinking way back I did have a Jack cross from CH9 Seeds with Critical Mass that was really peppery. It was very potent & hybrid high like you stated.

I got me seeds from THE REAL SEED COMPANY!! They came packaged discreetly and communication was good. I did ask after the purchase of these were original landrace and he told me that the Malawi Gold was from AFROPIPS. I also purchased Manipuri and my freebie seeds were Tahra and Rosali. I’ve popped some feminized Malawi gold from seed fair today. Along with some others

I've only ever encountered one Jack Herer that impressed me, and it had a scent when smoked of pure frankincense and a transcendent high. I've wanted to taste that again.

I also purchased some feminized Malawi Gold from seedfair.com. They all popped except 1. They seem to be fairly vigorous, they are bigger than everything else in the tent. I’ll drop pics when there is something worth looking at

I received my replacement G13 fem seeds today from I49 seed bank. I’ll will spend money there again. There were several emails back-and-forth between him and I. I never once felt like he was trying to get out of an obligation.
he was mostly concerned that he had the right number of seeds that he needed to replace.
I just hope the new G 13 seeds pop.....
