You dont need insurance just a shovel.
Idk about all this insurance talk lately. I can tell you in my state theyd laugh at you even being legal. Its a mofo to get a claim for shit. Just did a job for an elderly guy whos rear roofline and soffit was ripped off house in a storm, said he paid co. on time for last 30yrs and they were fighting him tooth and nail to not pay. How would an insurance company even begin to put a value on your crop? It sure wouldn't be like the cops when they bust someone with 10 plants and say 2 million street value lol. If your insurance company covers mj crop please post their contact

This is my third year for outdoor grow.
In Canada we are allowed 4 plants and therefore there is no need for people to steal.
But, we know what people are like, some are just assholes.

Have you ever had your plants stolen or had a "cut and run" incident
where thieves cut off branches and run off?

I have read that in Canada insurance companies will reimburse you for your losses
but have not spoken to mine yet.
Yes indeed. Many times in fact. Especially doing guerilla grows. The idiots always cut early lol!

To help prevent fence jumping into my residential backyard, used personal alarms devices rigged with tripwire. Simple but effective.

A cat set one off a couple times. Lol

Ya I do the blank shell on a trip wire. Prob is even if you go outside and fuck some dudes up they know you grow weed and where you live. Plus they'll prob be salty from the beating.
I just make it real hard to get anything. Lots of nets stakes and cages. It takes some serious time to get my plants out when they're ready and I'd imagine some lazy thief would rather rip off someone's easy to pull plant. That's another reason I keep em small.
Remember. Loose lips sink ships
The less people who know the better. Legal or not

When I say BRAG, I do not mean exaggerate and lie.
I just mean to talk about how well you have done and hopefully have done better than your friends.

It’s easy to grow bad cannabis. It takes a lot of skill, knowledge and a decent amount of money to grow top shelf life though.
I agree with you 100%
BUT

Have you heard of the terms
"80% solution" and the "Law of Diminishing Returns"?
It is far simpler to roll a 10% fatter joint than to increase THC in plant an extra 10%.

The ROI for my time and effort is far higher than yours.

See, we're back to the shovel lol
I know someone who uses battery operated driveway sensors, basically an invisible trip wire that when crossed will ring in the house. Said they're pretty cheap too....

I had a contractor working on my house. On the last day before he left he presented me with two lophophoras he'd ripped out of the desert. I thanked him and proceeded to rescue them, they're flowering now. That evening when I went out to water my three Acapulco Gold sativas, about three weeks from harvest, they'd gone, complete with 5 gallon pots.

Happened only once, about 10 years ago, one of my plats was stolen. Mess all over the place and fallen leaves all the way to my neigbors house. One of my Drosera stolen too. It was to young kinderskins living nextdoor, smoked even that Drosera. Told them they are idiots and put a sign "camera with recording", never happend again.

Never had my personal grow ripped off. But neighbors can't see the plants, and I don't tell ANYONE I have weed, the wife and I know and thats it. Years ago I gifted a buddy a plant that was 3 months old, he put it in his back yard. We were gonna harvest just before the weekend, but he wanted to wait, He threw a part that evening, including some co workers of his he didn't know super well. Next day plant was gone
