Almost ready?

Thank you so much for showing a perfect example of a mature plant! See too many early harvests from people, myself included. So important to let them finish. Not just about yield either. A lot of flavors and aromas develop at the end.
agreed, the picture was pretty great. Because google searches are really kind of all over the place and even reading, people say things all over the place, like harvest at first orange hairs, or white hairs are fine, or don’t really explain that you’re not just looking for the first signs of amber anywhere on the plant.

I’m a little nervous about drying/ curing stage because the humidity here in the South can get ridiculous. Sometimes it’ll rain hard 20+ days in a row and you’re sticky soon as you walk outside. I have a closet dedicated to the drying and a dehumidifier I can set to the right humidity. And grabbed some boveda packs and these little humidity gauges for the jars. Hopefully it goes well.
Do you have a/c?

Of course! I will be losing it for a few days, having duct work redone in the attic soon. But luckily that will be before drying. Inside humidity usually seems spot on but I grabbed a dehumidifier just in case. Should be fine, just don’t want to see my last few months of loving wasted at the end, making me nervous lol.

Very good point! I suppose unless you tried to force forever veg, ha! But I do wonder if at the very end I’ll be so impatient that it kept being one more week, then one more, then another, if I’ll be anxiously ready with a knife
If you want you can chop the buds and reveg her. I have one now that I have done this with. It elongates the time before you have to feel bad about losing her.

Interesting, do you how it affects next bud growth? I can see how this might help a sickly plant that could benefit from new healthy growth during a veg.

When I get home I will take some picks. In fact this is now my largest, healthiest plant by far. It really loved coming back. The bonus to this whole thing is the root ball is already established from the last grow. So it starts way ahead of the pack in terms of veg abilities.

Bud growth should be better considering the additional time and root ability to take up nutrients.

Very nice, I’ll be doing a lot more experimenting once this first grow of mine finishes up. First run was to make sure I didn’t have any major issues, had nutes right, etc. so far so good. Next I want to work on having the balls to top/ do training lol then I’ll hop into the fun of clones/ making babies.

Low stress training will be your best friend. I actually stopped topping my plants. There is nothing to fear from training the plant. Its fun, the plant likes it, and the end result is better yields.

I look forward to watching your growth as a grower.

Awesome, thanks! My first plant is looking great, close to finished. I definitely trimmed a lot to give all buds light but wasn’t really sure what training I wanted to do, when I plant on low stress it was a little too late :p but all in all first plant is loaded up way more than I anticipated. I sort of laughed to myself when I bought a case of mason jars, and thought, I’m a dreamer, probably fill half of one of these

Hi there! This little girl is my very first plant. I am reading so much about trichs, etc. I definitely have some amber on sugar leaves but still white hairs, so I am guessing I should wait another week or two? She is a gorilla glue auto. Thanks for the help!
Wow very nice job on your first grow

If getting ducts redone have them run a runner and a vent to your closet for drying. Cost me $150 to get done
