Could use some advice about my cannabis plants!

Happy to help and I wish you all the best of luck!. Wish I had this sort of forum community growing up. It would have saved me from a lot of trial and error starting out. But I'm also glad I had to learn by doing back in the day. Patience is a virtue.

Cheers! :weed:
Hello my friend ! Hope all is well.
Had a quick question about root rot....I picked up some bleach yesterday and gave a dose of 0.2 ml per gallon of ro water....my question is,
My damn humidifier went off last night and I just noticed. I started to see some root rot on the roots bit not a lot just a couple little spots of brown slime...is there a way to clean the roots? Should I do a clean with water and 3ppm bleach for a bit to clean the roots?? Or will it start to clear up as I use the bleach??

You can always water through the net pot to let the bleach work at the inner stem/root core.

Ahh I see! So I leave it at 3ppm for bleach with ro water and top feed?? Do u recommend just using the res water since it has the bleach in it already?
And also do I need to just add the bleach once a week with the res change or will I need to add it in a couple time per week??

Water around the edge when you water through the net pot, not directly on the stem. I forgot you used rockwool cubes so you need to take this into consideration.

You want the roots to seek out water. I actually start all my DWC plants like drain to waste outside in a empty bucket. Water it once or twice a day before you have a lot of roots poking out.

While you get good results by just having one main root from the net pots. I think it's better to get good coverage before you introduce airstones and splashing water.

This is how they look before I introduce them to the system.

Hi ! Im about to start a DWC and i really liked this you mention. Would you explain to me how and where do you water the plants/roots? Or do you have a drain to waste system? how many ppms? Im going to practice this technique with regular seeds before buying fem :)

I kinda do the same but with bubbles.I put 2" of clay pebbles then RW cube and back fill.
So the clay wicks up moisture from below so the roots will find it.You dont want the cube soaked from above.

A simple seedling or clone dwc is a small tote with 4 net pots and a couple air stones.Once you get enough roots out they can go into the big system.i phone 147.JPGi phone 161.JPG

I just let them runoff in an empty bucket with their lid/netpot. Water a couple of times a day before roots been established. That system was a regular DWC 5 gallon bucket.

The bubbles splashing up. You see the bottom of the net pot sits about 1/2” above the water. So bubbles splash onto the pebbles. From there it wicks up towards the rock wool. The idea is too have moisture below the rockwool with out letting it get soaked. Once you have roots coming out of the net pot it doesn’t matter so much. It’s when your just starting a seedling or rooted clone that you try to keep the water off the rock wool. Hope that makes sense

Thanksssss, yes i get it now, thats what im ginna do so! . Im so exited! Im building my own system. Allready bought 2 rectangular shaped black containers, 20l each. Although i know a regular 2 way air pump will do the job, i still cannot fin the relation/equation in how many L per hour should the pump move according to the res size. Can u light my way up here?

Theres no fancy formula for air,A 4 port runs 4 stones that simple. But I believe a deeper container like say 2' deep would need more but for a simple dwc nothing special is needed. The cylinder type stones are better I think.Good and heavy lol
