Most of the breeder times are just numbers pulled out of thin air. If one breeder says a strain finishes in 8-9 weeks others will claim 7-8 weeks. Everyone is in a hurry to get to harvest and are looking for the fastest flowering strains they can get. Breeders know that so they list much shorter flowering times than the actual time it takes. It's just a marketing gimmick like most things cannabis industry related. The only thing you can do is let the plants go until they're finished. That may take 10 weeks or 14 weeks. The plants don't care how long some pollen chucker claims it will take to finish.

Powdery mildews are favored by warm days and cool nights and moderate temperatures (68° to 86°F). At leaf temperatures above 90°F, some mildew spores and colonies are killed. Shade or low light intensities as well as high relative humidity (greater than 95%) favor powdery mildew fungi.

Conditions Favoring Powdery Mildew
  • High relative humidity at night
  • Low relative humidity during day
  • 70-80F (22-27C) temperatures (These conditions prevail in spring and fall)
The spores are carried by air currents and germinate on the leaf surface. Liquid water on leaves inhibits spore germination.

It's nearly impoossible to get rid of..

Some people move :D

Others will spray and simply watch it go dorment.
Ship some clones and the reciever isn't using the same IPM so now they are infected

But when you spray plants so many times they become weak. Pesticide and Fungicide both

Have not had a problem getting rid of it, likely temporarily but compared to bud rot I'll take it.

Not to hijack grannys thread, but if you can keep your brix levels up, keep your environment in check, and stick to a good IPM, PM is relatively easy to avoid.
Outside, you're at the mercy of mother nature so use some preventatives. I alternate with Cease and Regalia and havent seen PM on my plants in years.

I've been successful in preventing PM the last couple of years with foliar spraying of potassium silicate and sesame oil. I'm not talking about just a couple cannabis plants I'm talking about my entire vegetable garden and yard including roses and other landscape plants that are susceptible. If it works on squashes and cucumbers which are PM magnets then the treatment is effective. No need for expensive products. It costs me about a 0.25¢ to make a 2 gallon batch that I then spray all over everything including my outdoor cannabis. No PM here.

It's pretty easy to keep under control. No need to go nuclear. The key is to prevent it before it takes hold. Once it shows up and colonizes on a plant getting rid of it can be next to impossible which is why prevention is the best course of action.
