Your Opinion: what strain tastes the most like Weed?

Yea I know what kind of question is that right?

I have run into tons of strains that either dont taste like anything or taste like everything but weed. So I am asking for community input.

What strain do you think tastes the most like traditional weed?

I’d say rock star for me.
Out of my library it’s the loudest “WEED!!!” taste and smell.
So obvious I decided to cull my outdoor RS, and stuck with a more subtle scented strain.

Always thought Jack Herer strains/crosses taste like the most amazing weed. Oh sure afghan kush derivatives have old school flavor but none stand out as memorable to me as Jack. Back in the days when kush was king every so often our guy would have “Christmas tree bud” that I now realize was Jack Herer or a cross there of. With the popularity of so many fruity strains out there it’s hard to find that piney flavor I remember so well. May hafta go order a 10pk.....

There is no single weed taste. If it's weed and you smoke it whatever taste it has is a weed taste.

In reality the only true weed taste would be landrace strains and those can be very different. I wouldn't consider any of the dozens of hyped up polyhybrids coming out daily as having a true weed taste. Thai, Columbian, Durban, etc... much closer to "Weed" taste.

Christmas tree buds! The best weed I ever smoked. I remember not being able to keep the bag closed. I couldn't help but open the Ziploc for a quick inspection.

Everyone here seems to have an idea of what he means, I know what your saying. But I chimed in for fun. Like Afghan strains hit hard in the 2000s

The good Afgani skunk or the good ole' smells like rotten milk cured buds from the 1990's, that your best buddies uncle grew.

Tbh. I’m 29. So my peak days was early 2000s. And Mexican brick was the go to everywhere. 5 dollar was 2.5 grams 10 was 5.
and kush was 20 a g. But then. It was amazing. Like real purple kush. I can never forget 14 years old with a gram to myself. It was a great night :)

Sorry to hear that:???: Ya should've been in the PNW, or hell anywhere on the west coast in the nineties! That's about when lots of ole time growers found new genetics!
