2-inch baby already flowering - Highly illogical

I think the title says it all. Here's a pic (ignore the mildew spots, I already took care of that.)



Ain't that just weird? This thing's tiny as hell and the lights are 17/7 (I emulate many things on an indoor grow, including simulating light exposure thru seasonal change.)

The only things I can think of that could have caused this are transplant shock, or maybe it got damaged somewhat when the box it was in was left out in 100+ temps for months on end. Either that or the other plants that I have in the grow room are triggering early flowering, yet the other plant isn't affected.

Oh well, I know it's a female! Don't see any balls, yet! Let's hope none show up!

No mites thankfully. was just mildew caught early. Too much pyrethrum spray in the closet due to other precious plants, like my thai peppers.

There is no need to emulate anything light cycle wise other than the standard options. Pussying around with half and minor changes along the way will just let them flower at their will rather than yours, but that might not be the issue here, who knows. Either way it's a worthless waste of time, you're completely tying up your flowering room to play around for no reason. Should you do away with that idea and go to using a seperate little veg chamber you could flower 3 crops in the time you muck around with one the way it sounds like you're doing it now.

(no offense intended, just advice given in probably less than the best method possible.)

I'd agree with it probably being an autoflowering variety though for the record.

Did you actually grow that from a seed though? If it's a clone it'll show those sexy hairs while still completely in veg because it's so old, regardless of size.

Yes, it's from seed.

I haven't bought clones, I generally don't do clones, preferring to do it all from scratch.

Oh and I forgot to mention that those spots on the leaves are in fact spider mite spots just like Kushcrosser says. You can swear to me up one side and down the other that it isn't, but I'll ask you to pull out a micrscope and look at the underside of all the leaves on that little thing.

(spider mites start off as tiny as a tip of one of your hairs, most can't even see the things at all without a good magnifying glass or a microscope in case you didn't know this.)

Can we place bets?

My room is constantly sprayed with pyrethrum.

Let me break out my magnifying glass, because these spots are not on the other plant, which has ALWAYS been within a foot of that one.

Yea, just looked carefully. There are no tiny white mites or spot on the underside of the leaves. I have far too many other plants in my closet producing other things to allow pests. I keep that under very tight control, spraying whether or not I see them or not and treating the soil with neem oil every three weeks. It's a solid regimen that works and keeps me pest free (but the cost of pyrethrum spray is a lil out there.. :( )

Just for future reference if you or anyone that reads this knows what fungus or mold makes spots that look identical to spider mite damage let me know please.

Good choice on constant bug control even if you don't see them, Man I sure wish I had done that .

I wouldn't DARE put my precious hot peppers at ANY risk of pests. I love them more than I love pot. Also, the same mildew spots have affected my catnip plants. It starts out blackish, and if you kill it off you see the white spots where it was.

one time in an indoor grow i had i had plant do the saem thing, actually let it finish and shit it was really good haha but that was aa good strain, def possible, plants dont go by the size they go by the sun. they have a pre set life cycle

also it has nothing to do with autoflowering once again, just cause its small people assume auto flower haha, plants have set life cycles whether there 1 inch or 50 inches theyre gonna flower when their hormones tell them to, not because there 12 inches, size means nothing, and also lights dont have to be on 12 and 12 to start flowering only to finish to 17 and 7 culd easily make them flower
