Pinch nodes to get fat cola

Hey people!

I have a question regarding helping your plant to grow fat cola instead of many small cola.

I am currently into 3d week of pre-flower. My plants are beginning to stretch and beautiful white pistils are dancing in the wind from the fans. According to Mr. Kushman whom I find very inspirational and have got many great advises from, pinching your nodes all the way to the top is a beneficial way to redirect the energy to the top of of the plant and thereby focusing most hormones into one cola.

My question is if you still pinch the nodes except the top of course, when your into pre-flower state? Or do you leave them now that they are forming so nice and get plenty of light do to the stretching? I do know that it is a “style” thing but I would like to know if anyone has successful experience in this??

I have marked the node I am talking about on the picture.

Best regards

Ok, so you would let them sit. I will do too. They are very healthy and I would also feel uncomfortable to remove the nodes.
Anyway it’s first time grow so a lot to learn here!

thanks for you quick answer Xtsho

Looks inside to me.

You don't have to lollipop your plants. It's not a requirement. Some do. Some don't. I was just asking why you do it since so many growers just copy what they see others doing without even thinking about why.
I do it because inside I have limited light penetration, so I prefer to utilize the top half of the plant. Lowers usually don’t fill in too much if the plant is tall, and that will depend on the run, if they stretch a lot or stay smaller.

It doesn't affect bud size, only the structure of the plant. Better to pinch and twist during veg but people supercrop tie down and do all sort of things to accomplish an even canopy during flower.
