First time hanging before trim

First time hanging before trim. Separated individual branches. What would cause my colas to start feeling crispy and lower buds feel moist still? All branches are doing this whether they are hung high in tent or lower.

Someone help me out. What should I do? Remove dry feeling pieces to jars? Let the rest catch up and risk colas being ro dry?

How long have they been hanging, what’s temp/humidity? Do you have non direct air

5 days hanging, rh is holding steady at 50 to 52 and temp is 66 steady. Main concern is any other time I wet trim colas are last to dry. Tips of colas feel like they should hlbe jarred already but going lower on branch it progressively gets wetter. Like bottom buds feel like they did when cut.

Maybe it was a bit too dry at first. I like to stay 55 - 60 the first week and ideally drop to 50-55 from there out. Just so they don’t get too dry on the outside too fast. The end would have dried quicker than the thick middle part of your buds.
I hang my buds in a room that I try to keep 50 to 55% Rh and under 70. I can final trim them dry after 10 to 14 days and leave them in the room. My last crop has been in there for over 8 weeks, still not final trimmed, but it’s the best way I’ve ever dried and cured. No jars, just a room with weed in it. I wouldn’t worry about a thing if you can maintain your current environment.

sounds like uneven heat in your drying area, do you have a fan blowing in there? this will help even the drying out
I dont believe that's it due to me being in a 2x2x5 cabinet. No fan cause such a small space and worried about drying too fast. Air movement through passive intake should be enough correct?

So you would advise letting colas remain and wait for the rest to "catch up" in dryness?

You can buck the buds off the stems if they’re still on them to speed up certain sections that are wetter. Lay the smaller sections on a screen. If they’re all final trimmed then they’ll dry pretty fast. I run the dry right into the cure, right in the same room, so yes I‘d let the colas remain. My sour diesel is just starting to taste right to me and it’s been in my room for at least 2 months.

Here’s a pic of my hanging buds. Check the dates, June 22 and 23. The pic is from last week and I find they’ll keep getting better until three months from the day I cut them. Then they’re as good as they’re going to get.
Nice wallpaper isn’t it…
You just keep up on rh to keep them from getting too dry? I'm kind of green only been growing a couple years and never had them this uneven but also never dry trimmed so wasn't sure if it was normal or what was up. Still have my outdoor crop to go this year. All personal stash so no biggie if not it's highest potential but still want to do things right

I didn’t make up the method, I bought Ed Rosenthal’s book, ”Harvest”. Everything I told you came from him. According to Ed there is no better way to dry and cure your weed. Once you have them dry trimmed or if you start with weed that’s already final trimmed you could just stay close to 60% Rh and go for the cure you like. I’m never packing another jar with weed again. I’ve got 30, one gallon glass pickle jars that I’ll never fill again.
you could set a saucer of water out in the closet if you wanted to increase the humidity, or put them in cardboard boxes or paper bags and half close them to maintain a moister environment. Even plastic totes will work but might leave a smell if the bud was in them a long time.
