Jacks 3-2-1 help

Just spent a hour searching for an answer and my head is spinning from the conflicting results. I just mixed up a gallon of the stuff @3.6-2.4-1.1 as recommended. This gives me a ppm of 1480. Minus my water ppm of 100ppm that is 1380 ppm.
Some people say to use this "start to finish". I think even Jacks recommends this. A guy on you tube that evidently is revered as a good grower recommends start to finish.
1380ppm sounds awful high for seedlings. I have been having problems with my existing grow using other nutes and wanted to give Jacks a try on some new seedlings I have but after mixing this up and seeing the strength, Im now leary.
For those who use Jacks, what strength do you use for seedlings?
They are in coco.
I bought the 5-12-26 and already have calcium nitrate and epsom salt.

Edit: I might should've put this in the nutrients sub forum.

Of course that's too high for seedlings, honestly it's too high for anything. You need to mix it up in the appropriate strength for each life stage. Seedlings only need 200-300ppm, 400-500 once they are actual plants near the end of veg, then 500-600 in flower. Some people go higher, but you don't need to go much higher.

So do I mix like I did then dilute it? I guess I misunderstood being able to use it from start to finish.

If needed you can add water to dilute to the ppm/ec needed.

Or as an example, using that mix I might just start with 2gallons of water to end up with around 600ppm. 1.2ec.

This is what I use for coco. (Extra ca)

Once you've done it a few times you will learn how much water to start with for a consistent final ppm/ec. No need to dilute.

Be sure to fully dissolve everything before adding the calnit.

PH is important. Coco usually 5.8 thru 6.2.

0.4 EC for seedlings. I mix 3.6-2.4-1.1 and then dilute to required EC. Or proportionately reduced the overall ratio.

Thanks for the charts and the suggestions. On that first chart that you said you use for coco, do you stay at that 648 ppm?

I use 1/4 strength for seed germination and early days up to day 10.
Then I go 1/2 strength until they are done. Only thing I add is Armor Si at 1/2 strength (.5 ml).

During the first few weeks my plants were fine, but they developed a serious mag deficiency once the plants started getting big. Then I switched to full strength and it corrected everything. So keep it low until they start getting beyond the seedling / little fragile plant stage, then jump to full strength once they are a mature vegging plant.

It is simple. Gallon of water and you drop the 3 ingredients in it and you done. I always go by the 1000 ppm strength and it's amazing. Occasionally drop some recharge, Tribus, and silica.
Actually you should mix the CalNit separate from the Jacks and Epsom Salts then combine the two once diluted, or at least mix in the CalNit last after the Jacks and Epsom has been fully dissolved.
