Not gonna lie, my whiteness has been a huge advantage in life. In my later years, trying to find work in a diverse marketplace has been extremely difficult. As it turns out, I'm not that awesome in an increasingly equitable world and have essentially been riding on the coattails of relationships that were established from an era of advantage.
