Please help me understand just how= "For the reason, might be the nutrition you use".

What in the world would the nutrition I use have Anything to do with how a light would perform??
Haha. What a trash company. I'm embarrassed I actually purchased a light from them. I got stuck with a light without the external dimmer as they changed there line the week after I made a purchase.

Maybe you should consider changing nutrients so the glue doesn't burn off... :D

I run four sf1000s and one sf4000. Now I’m gonna check. I did notice my 1000s came with wires damn near falling out of driver tho. Other than that mine been great besides maybe my house not giving them the power they need I suspect. Since I been running all lights my wax melters won’t melt all the way anymore. That’s what I get for renting a old ass house I guess.

Hello,
We just noticed the issue of your light.
Please do not worry, firstly we can confirm it's not burn marks. If it's burn, then the diodes will do not works.

Please check the following feedback from our engineer:
To offer the waterproof of the light, each panel of the led will have a layer of glue, the yellow marks is on the glue. You can check.
For the reason, might be the nutrition you use.

Hope this can do some
Once again they're making any excuse to avoid taking responsibility. This is very common for them and is the main reason I didn't buy their light.
Wow, yeah @chronnie49, I Really hope that response from @Spiderfarmerled was just their idea of a terrible joke. And not their actual official response to the matter with my light. If so that would be the biggest WOW moment since I been on RIU. And from an advertiser ta boot!

*checks manual of of my quantum board to make sure I'm nutrient compliant*
Oh stop now , I just took a bong RIP and a sip of brew. Read your response, then literally spit my beer out laughing my ass off!!:mrgreen: Yeah I guess we need the check the Nutrient Reservoir Level on all our LED drivers or something! LMAO Maybe their "Engineer" can recommend the proper levels! LOL

Wondering if under boards have a thin TIM spread between heatsink. Some companies used to mop on this toothpaste looking crap to bump the life span of “ mono led boards “ ( epistar , etc ) on obviously “ thinner heatsinks. Most would have barely any heat fins but gobs of thermal material.

I know that TIM would help “ seal “ air pockets that would be high heat points under boards … leading to diode failure or whole strings . Or the cheaper bin diodes that are not quite “ spec “.

Just thinking out loud.

Why not head to your local Radio Shack and pick up an extra pint of LED fluid and top off all your lights.

Hey bro just come across this, simply speaking if your are concerned just replace it for peace of mind, save the stress
Ok, so I have 2 spiderfarmer lights. 1 is a SF-1000 that I purchased. The other is a sf4000 that I won here on RIU!! Now that being said. I will now ask other RIU Crew Members if they've had a similar problem to this. NOTE THIS IS NOT A SMEAR CAMPAIGN ON SPIDERFARMER!! But my SF-1000 works great on a full term grow.. The sf-4000 I received from them as a prize, I Feel is defective!! And One Hell of a concern to me. I have only maybe 100 hours of use with it. And now its showing burn marks around the diodes and more so around the screws. This Is Freaking Me out, as I see nothing but a fire hazard in the making. Anybody else have this problem with spiderfarmer lights???

It no big thing Buddy. I'll just pull out my old Maxisun light, dust it off then use that to replace it. I used that for years without 1 worry.

Maybe I should. I mean after all Everyone knows using dry organic nutrients and molasses water gives off glue melting, noxious fumes. That could alter the performance of a grow light. At least according to @Spiderfarmerled's "engineers" lol

As a previous “ tester “ of Spiderfarmer i do find their response kind of strange … the “ nutrition “ phrase tho.

Keep us posted.
Welp folks. My suspicion is pretty much confirmed with this half assed Customer Service of @Spiderfarmerled.

An outright lie, and denial that I sent the message about the problem. And shooting me more incoherent Bullshit! I Can say with certainty. I will never buy another light from this company. Or, ever enter another contest to possibly win another either. The proof is in the puddin, with this shotty company.

That’s upsetting. I use their light too. I was hoping they would be hella cool with you considering that’s a dangerous hazard and potentially be a really bad law suit with a worse case senecio being a house fire and death. Like. That should be taken seriously. I’m sorry bro…. For real. Thank good you caught before anything terrible happened

Thanks for your kind Intelligent response @DrOgkush! Ya Know, I was really hoping for a way more intelligent, Professional response from @Spiderfarmerled Also. And Yes, it's kinda pathetic And disappointing at the same time for me. As I actually did drop$$ on a SF-1000 before I even won this de-funked SF-4000. I dunno, I guess that falls into the category of, ya win some, ya lose some. So the fire hazard sf4000 Will Be Binned...
