That's not the point, so yes, correct.I don’t get the point. Everybody knows they’re from China
True. These also have the same warehouse locations across the world, so Mars & SF are the same company. Again, if he doesn't wish to give money to this company because of how they've interacted or safety concerns, moving from SF to Mars is not moving at all. They're not even two companies that contract build in the same factory...they're the same company.Anyone can have the same lights made at the same factories but with different branding with a few minor changes. Half the brands for every kind of product roll of the same assembly lines. All they do is put a different label on it. It's been that way for a long time and it isn't just goods made in China. Years ago I word at a food processor. They made peanut butter, pancake syrup, and other things. The exact same syrup and peanut butter was bottled and jarred for multiple competing grocery stores. All we did is change the labels and maybe sometimes the bottles. But it was the exact same product being sold under multiple brands. The same thing is going on in China at their mega factories.
I do not work in the lighting industry.I mean I believe you. But how do you know for sure? What’s your source? Your pretty confident. did you used to work for them?
or the owner was just like “yeah I own both”.
They are … i ran a thread on this sometime ago … same distribution points and contacts.True. These also have the same warehouse locations across the world, so Mars & SF are the same company. Feathers were ruffled when I suggested the same, and provided some documentation on my 'hot take' on the matter. Though I wasn't casting aspersions upon either brand, just noting that were someone trying to not support one of them, purchasing the other is not productive to that pursuit. They are … i ran a thread on this sometime ago … same distribution points and contacts.
Bought some older HLG lights that had mean well drivers, one driver died and I called HLG and they sent out a replacement before they even got the old one back. Turns out they handle or did handle MW warranties in the USShit. If the costumers service is on point and stead in contact. That alone can turn my head.
I've just been kickin back and chillin, since that response from spiderfarmer. Just kinda in AWE of their response to the issue of melting glue on there light. It just seemed Really Disrespectful for @Spiderfarmerled to say:Always thought “ glue masking “ was kinda strange …. Any other boards I run are free of this . I am thinking it would hold heat , but cannot not prove it. Even tho it’s described as protection against moisture or “ overspray “. Never once do I spray any liquids on my leds …. So not sure if this an actual problem in grows.
If I remember right they offered JohnnyNobody $20 for the same issue on his sf4000 which is insulting as well.I've just been kickin back and chillin, since that response from spiderfarmer. "Please check the following feedback from our engineer:
To offer the waterproof of the light, each panel of the led will have a layer of glue, the yellow marks is on the glue. You can check.
For the reason, might be the nutrition you use."
It's kinda difficult to believe they actually said that! And at the same time expected me to believe that Bullshit. What's Wrong with this world, nowadays??
