No chance. I don’t care who says they have it. Ace has a Zacatecas strain. Mexican and South American sativas took way too long to flower. They’re pretty much gone. Hybridized.

I think AK BB used to have it and I recall Mass Medical is also selling it, with their stock originating from AKBB.

Also, check out Snow High's stuff. He's pricey but has collected some hard to find Mexican strains. Might not be Acapulco gold, but still good old time Mexican strains. Cannabiogen has a strain from Michoacán too.

When I was 18 years I no more believed that weed came from Acapulco than I believed in the tooth fairy. I'm 70. IMHO, it's all just my definition of skunk at the time: weed grown indoors and out of sight, but very pungent which people at the time equated with potency and so it sold well. But with Reagan's War on Drugs it became dangerous to have pungent weed. People stopped growing skunk.
Anyway that's my opinion. Tell me how I'm wrong. I'll listen. Been wrong before.

I'm wanting to grow one like dad did in 77 and try it. Have an interest in the landraces lately

This is my point. I don't believe there are any pure significant landrace cultivars. I remember reading a High Times article in the '90s. It talked about the growers in Jamaica buying seeds from Holland. Now of course, there may be landraces in remote area of India or Morocco. Imo they are likely not as good as we get from Cali, Colorado, or elsewhere. I knew American Air force personnel who brought back seeds from Thailand in the 70s. The people I knew did nothing with them, but I'm sure others did. I knew someone who grew truckload quantities in the late sixties. He was no horticulturalist. It was bag seeds all mixed in together and that's the seeds he grew out and used to produce more seeds.

There are still pure landraces around, quite a few actually. But they are in serious danger of dying out in our lifetimes. Besides Ace Seeds and Cannabiogen, other good landrace seed banks are The Real Seed Company, Indian Landrace Seed Exchange, and Tropical Seeds. I can't really comment on the quality of World of Seeds or Seeds of Africa. Then there is Afghan Selections for Afghan landraces. I'm missing a bunch of other places too.
