you're not suppost to top a plant full stop. cannabis is a natural bush plant when you grow it right theres no need to top. you will get good bud though. so next grow consentrate on good bushy growth so you don't have to top your plant!!!!!!!

doing such a thing right ahead of flower is only "recommended" if you stirring in a MAJOR height issue, if not topping should be done early into veg so that the plant grows low and wight, and several stems/branches compared to a natural plant with only a single stem and some weak side branches.

the comment that topping isn't needed or usable is just noob;)

I didnt need to top mine, but I wanted to see for myself the difference it made in yeld and to try something new.

So far im happy with the way things are going instead of having just the one main, I have 4 which are all the same hight plus all the lower branches are not to far behind

Though dontknow 6 days should be ok thats about what I left mine for before switching the lights to 12/12

see bigbud, topping is mainly about growing strong branches, it may be used to lower plant height but it is a damn extreme measure then. if you top a plant early on it is growing extremely wight and branchy. this won't happen in 6 days till flower so then it is only a measure to lower the plant if it is way too tall for flowering. it actually will lower the yield, in this case, on a well sized plant since it cuts the action taken will reduce sites for buds to grow on.

cant argue with that... 5 weeks ish I shall know what yielded more (for-me) the topped or untopped, I dont have hight issues I just done it after doing some reading

All good fun this learning cant wait till my clones have all rooted and are in pots as I have plans for some of them
