Kopy that. Just what I've been reading and researching. But I will take your advice fir the next oneThere is no time line, a plants done when it’s done.
How many times do we need to explain to you that you harvested too early?Tell me if thats right or not once it dried it got mad smaller.
This post has some of the common signs of ripeness to look for. https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/a-guide-on-when-to-harvest.666373/Thanks, any tips on that harvesting thing. Sure could use it.
I need real help from someone who is actually going to share some real tools to this flowering stage and curing. This one is a week ole curing bud. What did do wrong in the flowering stage a bloom stage. Need help bad.
I'm sorry. Probably being a little too technical. I usually pull my plants when they've reached peak terpene production and the pistals are about 60-70% brown 30% white. Sort of like when you harvest the roots of the sassafras at mid spring. Get the best mdma off it thenWut?
Dude, it IS the issue. Somehow you know better about your first harvest than the folks who have hundreds of harvests under their belts? Why are you asking us, if you don't want to hear the answer?Brother that's not the issue. I got that. If you're not going help. Please don't send those type of comments. I'm new at this and just want to learn the right way.
I freaking appreciate your help. No one said anything like that. Blessings to you. If you don't mind. I would like to keep in touch while I grow my third plantThis post has some of the common signs of ripeness to look for. https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/a-guide-on-when-to-harvest.666373/
From the pics of your bud, you missed out on the final swelling phase-your hairs had not retracted at all and the buds look airy since the seed bracts didn't have time to swell up. Forget the breeder recommended times- an "8 week" strain will often not ripen until it is 12 weeks or more into flower. The smell will change a lot in the final week or two-the grass smell is just due to harvesting early, as others have said. Good luck with the next plant! Remember, it's almost impossible to harvest too late, so when in doubt, give it another week (or two).
Okay, please just don't respond then. What works for might work for others. Thank you again.Dude, it IS the issue. Somehow you know better about your first harvest than the folks who have hundreds of harvests under their belts? Why are you asking us, if you don't want to hear the answer?
You won't find a better answer. You can't ripen bud which is already dried.Okay, please just don't respond then. What works for might work for others. Thank you again.

Post your pics here in the forum when you are thinking of harvesting. Harvest time is a decent-sized window, you won't miss it. Explanations will come. Reasoning will be explained. Breeder timelines will be ignored. You just need to provide the patience. In short, the calyxes will swell, the pistils will darken and curl inwards. The buds will take on a noticeable difference and will harden...the last two weeks are exciting times, you should try to enjoy it.Thanks, any tips on that harvesting thing. Sure could use it.
It's too late IMO when A: the terpene production slows down to a nearly nothing (take a pic and check against another 2-3 days later). B: just touch your top flowers. If the hairs that have gone brown fall off easily then they are in decline even if you still have a lot of white hairs on the flowers. Outdoors this doesn't happen until early winter. Indoors is an artform of sorts. It's a hands on learning experience. But how did you know that it was too late???
Not only a noob grower but a noob smoker. That's like saying all beer tastes the same. Granted, they all taste like "beer", but they all have their own individual flavor. That being the case though, you could just grow and smoke the same strain forever and it wouldn't matter. You'll become a master with that strain! LolI do care about the quality, I’m not gonna smoke some shwag bullshit, I care about how potent it is and whether it smells pungent, I can’t taste weed anyways, any weed I’ve ever tried from dispensary to ditch weed I can’t taste, it just tastes like weed, so I know it’s definitely not the weed.
I mean bad weed will taste like bad weed but good weed will only really just taste like weed smoke to me, neither good nor bad.
And I wasn’t asking for permission, I was just asking if it would be okay to do it in general.
Yep. My gf can't stand the earthy flavour strains. Did a couple of peppermint Kush for her. Not as good a yield but "happy wife, happy life". I've heard that you can actually infuse your buds with a dash of taste by using cooking extracts for baking. Vanilla extract for example. 24/48 hrs b4 you harvest let them go without water until they limp then put a bit in the water. I haven't tried it but it sort of makes sense. Not only a noob grower but a noob smoker. That's like saying all beer tastes the same. The first one is a Kush. The second is a Cheese. IMO I think about 2 weeks for the Kush and a week for the Cheese. The cheese is that compact and hard you could use it to chock up a car. Lol. That's how it feels anyway. I used to rock climb and have pretty strong hands and it feels like a lump of that white packing foamOkay, please just don't respond then. Here is how you know when to harvest. You have to watch all the signs the plant is giving you. Don’t worry about how many weeks it’s been, just watch the plants.Thank you so much for the that. How do I know when to harvest. First time grower. That was my second plant.
ARE YOU DEAF? YOUR HARVESTING YOUR PLANTS TOO EARLY.Okay, please just don't respond then. What works for might work for others. Thank you again.
Lots of people dry and smoke. I don't cure. My weed tastes great. I don't bother with burping, hygrometers, or any of that. I dry it and jar it. It's ready to smoke at that time.kinda pointless, with a one week cure may as well just dry and smoke like street smoke.
