Yeah I'm sensitive about copyright law violation I finished out my work life as a software engineer so intellectual property rights are near and dear to me. I think the subject is important for us but that doesn't condone theft of others work. Even asking DH if they minded a full republishing of their work would have been nice.

Anyway like I said it's my quibble and it doesn't detract from the importance of this topic to us.

Have you had a plant dud off? I know when I lost that KK and couldn't figure out what it was it was very frustrating. So finding DH's research was illuminating. Like @Tangerine_ said seeds are far less affected. But I'm pretty careful about running a closed grow, no clones, just seeds. Although I use isolation procedures when there's some genetics I desperately want.

I have not had the pleasure of experiencing a plant that I could say was obviously dudded by some reason other than my own mistake. Almost all of my plants have come from seeds that I or a close friend of mine sprouted. Since i've seen more chatter about hplvd, mosaic, dudding, etc over the past few years, I've been paying much closer attention for indicators on my plants.

The only possible indicator I've noticed is some clones from one of my plants show some color variations on blades of the same leaf, what I've read to be a possible indicator of mosaic virus. But those clones have never produced duds, and they seem to root faster and be more resistant to issues than some of my other plants. I've never had anything tested though. That may happen in the near future.

I'd definitely test if you can afford to. That's the beauty of the advent of legal weed. We actually have testing options available to us! In another 2 decades we will have universities focused on all these questions. I can't wait to see that.

This Zkittlez cut I got has almost horizontal branching angles. The LA Pop Rocks cut I got does the same, and it has Zkittlez in it too. One person said their Zkittlez grows funky, but I don't know if it's like this. So I wonder if it has the viroid, or if that's just how Zkittlez is? I haven't flowered it yet.

She's contributed more to this forum than most. I dont know why you're taking swings at Curious. All she did was point out the copyright issues. You've could've just sad "ok, my bad" and moved on rather than dig your heels in.

Friend, I have no dog in this fight, but I have to tell you, Curious to Garden is legitimately one of the most intelligent persons on this forum. I've been cultivating and selecting for 30 plus but I continually learn from her posts. Peace.

I haven't grown Zkilletz but I'd just go ahead and flower it. Be careful if you take clones, clean your scissors between plants. If you're really curious, say considering keeping it as a clone for several generations there are plenty of labs you can send some plant material to for testing and find out for sure. I'd be curious to hear back if you choose to test, which lab and your results. Good luck on this.

Disclaimer: Just my opinion
Delete just about 90% of the thread. Start over at "HPLvD does exist". Give some symptoms, stats, etc.... Then turn this back in to a review thread. Maybe even move it back over to the SeedBank review thread. This can be helpful for both the consumer and the nurseries. For example if I see a plant that people say are dudding out I will go run more testing on them. Most of my moms have about 15-20 shoots. We test 3 shoots on each a month and granted it is the best way we could mitigate it, knowing that this plant could affect certain parts leaves(no pun intended) some uncertainty. If you see people start talking about a certain cut dudding out you can most likely can focus more tests on that mother and test 6 or 9 shoots. The information on how this spreads etc is still very young so still many questions to answer. Even in terms with latency and how the viroid load affects the whole plant.
