Cure in a vacuum

Hi everyone. I have had good luck preserving cured flower in mason jars that are vacuum sealed. I have a chamber type vacuum sealer that allows me to vac down mason jars so the flowers are not crushed but still in a vacuum environment (low oxygen).

Would it be beneficial to cure flower in a vacuum? Has anyone done this?

Yes completely dry first. But I guess that's my question-would it need burped when under vacuum? Does oxygen have something to do with the curing process? Also I know the vacuum prevents mold as well. I think I will do an experiment and try curing under vacuum vs traditional.

It won't mold if it is not completely dry
It also won't cure once it is

But good luck with your non-science based experiments

It's all been tried BTW

I've not seen anything about curing in vacuum sealed jars. If you have seen this and it's been done then post up a link please.

I used to get jars from a guy named mountain jack who also had vac sealed jars.
This was 10 years ago now but I stil remember that classic “pop” when the seal was broke and straight stank filled the room.

buds were always pretty dry and crumbly but aromas were definitely above traditionaljar cured methods.

he would use heat to make the seal. Simmer jars inwater. Pull out snd pay with towel dry and add dried flower. But the lid on and it seals right down as it cools on counter

I once popped a hole in the lid,used a basketball air filler attachment to vacuum out the air with butyl tape over to seal.After about a week the butyl got sucked down the tiny hole.It kinda worked but never let it sit long enough for a real test.

My screen name??? That's the first time anyone has said anything negative about it in over 15 years here on Rollitup, but I've had lots of compliments, and even one asshole that stole my nick and used it for his seed company.
