how to open a cross-threaded grinder?

Hows it goin guys? i seem to have cross-threaded my crystal collection section in my grinder and want to smoke some but sadly i cant open it, got any magic stoner tricks anybody?

i would have to agree with SCARHOLE vice it and twist,, maybe try vice-grips

Nothing, the threads didn't line up correctly closing it and i cant unscrew it now, no suggestions other then a vice seeing as i dont currently have one

Thats basically the only way, next time just get a space case

i have a sharp-stone that has a vibrating feature to catch kief, im good with that. im fairly sure its only because the crystals are in the grooves of the grinder because it happened once before when i don't clean it out often, of well thanks for the suggestions anyways.

hah used some pliers to hold it, i just couldnt because its maybe 2mm in width and my fingers are too big to only grab that and not the upper section. Got it off but scratched up the finish on my grinder oh well. crystal hoots

I have a large 4 piece titanium space case, and a medium 2 piece.

No wonder I didn't know what the problem was

My grinder is a 4 piece as-well + the vibrating part so 5. it was the 4th piece that the threads were so full of kief i couldn't undo it with my hand, probably because i often have my grinder in the freezer and slammed it on a hard surface and i think that jammed it, this is the first time i've even tried to undo it in a week so yeah..

Im knew to the vibro grinders also thats wild, i usualy use the cheepest plastic one i can find.

if you haven't killed it yet in a vice or with pliers...just try GENTLY tapping it with screw driver or dull butter knife...if you keep rotating it while tapping it...it will come loose
...if you force it open too hard...it will strip and be garbage

im pretty sure you would rather have the scratches then a stuck grinder lol

I know I’m 10 years late to the discussion but I was in the same position,Used a thin butter knife to pry it apart ,Start at a section where I there’s space and move towards crossed area. Hope this helps someone!
